The contact stated while driving at slow speeds out of her driveway, the contact felt an abnormal sensation in the accelerator pedal, prompting the contact to look down to the floorboard. Upon looking up, the contact realized that the vehicle was reversing. The contact became aware that the vehicle had shifted into the reverse independently. The vehicle then struck the garage door, resulting in minor damages to the vehicle and garage door. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired.
