WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE THE CONSUMER FOUND THAT THE REAR RIGHT INSIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AT THE SIDE WALL. *JB THE MECHANIC TOLD THE CONSUMER THAT EITHER THE VEHICLE OVER LOADED OR THE TIRE WAS UNDER INFLATED. THE 2004 MOTOR MAGAZINE STATING THAT THE TIRES WERE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR MOTOR HOMES BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HOLD UP WELL. THEY RECOMMEND AN ALL STEEL TIRE NOT A TIRE THAT HAS STEEL BELTED TREAD AND A POLYESTER SIDEWALLS LIKE THE ONE THAT THE SIDEWALL BLEW OUT. *SC *JB

THE WOODEN CONVENIENCE TABLE LOCATED IN THE LIVING ROOM AREA OF THE MOTORHOME WAS NOT SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE FLOOR ALLOWING MOVEMENT DURING VEHICLE TRANSIT.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THE TABLE COULD ROLL DURING BRAKING OR AS THE VEHICLE MOVES CAUSING INJURY TO A VEHICLE OCCUPANT OR A DISTRACTION TO THE DRIVER INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT, AND INSTALL AS NECESSARY, HARDWARE WHICH ATTACHES THE TABLE TO THE MOTORHOME LIVING ROOM AREA FLOOR.
