The contact owns a 2024 Entegra Condor built on a 2023 Ford Transit Chassis. The contact stated that while driving at 10 MPH, the contact became aware of smoke coming from the rear of the RV. The contact had just picked up the RV from the storage facility and while driving pass the gate, the contact smelled and saw smoke inside the cab of the RV and saw flames coming from the RV. The contact pulled over immediately exited the vehicle and retrieved the fire extinguisher. The contact stated that the fire was in the rear of the RV. The contact used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire and then called the Fire Department for assistance. Additionally, the contact turned off the lithium battery to prevent electrical power continuing to run in the RV. After the fire had been extinguished, the smoke alarm sounded. The contact parked the RV at the storage facility. Later, the contact drove the RV to the dealer. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact notified the Insurance provider and was waiting on a diagnostic test by the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the fire and referred the contact to the Insurance provider for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2024 Entegra Condor, Jayco Granite Ridge, 2025 Jayco Alante SE, Redhawk SE, and Entegra Odyssey SE motorhomes. The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) on the Federal label may be incorrect and allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - other than passenger cars."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An overloaded vehicle increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Jayco will mail new labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 31, 2025. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903622.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2024 Jayco Granite Ridge, Solstice, Entegra Coach Condor, Expanse, and Expanse LI motorhomes. An inadequate amount of rear axle lubricant may cause rear axle tail bearing damage and seizure, which can result in wheel lock-up or driveshaft separation.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Wheel lock-up or driveshaft separation can result in a loss of drive power. A disconnected driveshaft can also result in a roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the rear axle and replace the axle bearings or axle assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 1, 2024. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is Ford 24V-102.
