TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE RAM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH DURING RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS WATER WOULD SEEP THROUGH THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE RAM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH DURING RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS WATER WOULD SEEP THROUGH THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. HE WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHERE IT WAS ACTUALLY ENTERING THE VEHICLE. THE WATER DAMAGED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER DUE TO THE FEE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 46,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

ON CERTAIN TWO WHEEL DRIVE TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS, THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT YOKE MAY BREAK UNDER CERTAIN DRIVING CONDITIONS.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE DRIVESHAFT FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 22, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.
