TRAVELING NORTH ON I-65 OUTSIDE BOWLING GREEN KY TRAVELING@60 MILES PER HOUR IN THE RIGHT LANE. REAR TIRE BLEW OUT ON PASSENGER SIDE OF RV. CAUSING 3000.00 DAMAGE TO RV. REPAIRED BY DUNCAN RV REPAIR IN ELKHART, IN. DEDUCTIBLE WAS $750. REPLACED BOTH TIRES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE TIRES AND INSTALL NEW CARLISLE TIRES ON DRIVERS SIDE. TIRE TURNED OVER TO PROGRESSIVE INS. CARLISLE REFUSED TO RETURN MY DEDUCTIBLE. THAT WAS THE FIRST BLOWOUT IN JULY 23 2015 THE SECOND BLOWOUT WAS JUNE 12 2016. THIS TIME IT WAS THE FRONT TIRE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DAME BATCH WITH A BUILD DATE OF "0114". THE DAMAGE TO THE RV WAS MORE EXTENSIVE SO FAR THE COST TO REPAIR IS MORE THAN $5000 WITH A $500.00 DEDUCTIBLE. HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED YET BUT HAVE AN APT IN OCT AT DUNCANS AGAIN. BEFORE EVERY TRIP I ENSURE THAT THERE IS 95PSI IN EACH TIRE AND THAT THE TORQUE ON THE LUGS IS 110 FT LBS. ANT EVERY REST STOP THE TEMP OF THE TIRES ARE MEASURED WITH A INFRARED THERMOMETER TO ENSURE THAT EVERYTHING IS GOOD.

Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Consequence & remedy

Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. 14V134000 · Equipment:recreational Vehicle/trailer

Crossroads RV is recalling certain model year 2014 Redwood and Rushmore trailers manufactured between March 8, 2013, and February 27, 2014, equipped with certain Frigidaire KG-series microwaves, models CFMV152CLB and CFMV154CLS, manufactured January 27, 2013, through April 10, 2013, in the serial number range KG30607951 through KG31600670. In the affected vehicles, the microwave may start on its own and begin heating when unattended.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If the microwave starts on its own and there are contents inside, a fire could result.

Remedy: Crossroads RV will notified owners, and dealers will repair the membrane/keypad component, free of charge. The recall began in May 2014. Owners may contact Crossroads at 1-855-226-7496.

13V372000 · Equipment

Aug 20, 2013

Crossroads RV is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Redwood recreational vehicles manufactured August 26, 2011, through August 14, 2013. While the vehicle is moving, shifting cargo may accidentally activate the switch used to deploy the power awning.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: The awning may unfurl unexpectedly increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Crossroads RV will notify owners, and dealers will install a cover over the switches, free of charge. The recall began on October 7, 2013. Owners may contact Crossroads RV by email at "service@crossroadsrv.com," or by phone at 1-855-226-7496.
