2023 Covered Wagon 8.5' x 28' x 7' Gold Mine Series Enclosed Trailer VIN # [XXX] Purchased New: 01/20/2024 Mileage: Less than 10k miles GVWR: 9,990 lbs Gross Weight At Time of Failure: 7,900 lbs WestLake SuperST (ST225/75R15) D 8 PR. Tire #1 - 4321, Failed 9/18 Tire #2 - 4321, Failed 9/21 WestLake's (Lionshead Tire's) defective tires endangered the lives of my friends & family and damaged my trailer. Two of the tires failed without warning, and by failed, I mean literally shattered/exploded for no reason. That is a level 10 on your PFMEA, an extremely serious safety incident that falls into the "Run/Stop/Steer" category that could have caused a fatal crash. (I worked for 6 years as an Automotive Quality Engineer for Safety Systems.) One tire failed on 9/18 and the other failed on 9/21. Upon inspection of the tires. I have found both tires have defective bands that separated, causing the tires to explode without warning. I still have the tires in my shop. I would be happy to ship them to you so you can investigate these junk Chinese tires that have the highest failure rate of any tire on the market. Just google them, or youtube them, they have an extremely bad reputation. They are dangerously defective, and it is a disgusting they are allowed to sell their garbage.
