TOOK THE TRUCK TO MARK CHRISTOPHER AND THEY SAY THAT MY VIN IS NOT ON THE LIST. THEY DID POINT OUT THAT THE DEFECTIVE PART IS A 12463017 PULSE BOARD WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT IS BEING REPLACED UNDER THE RECALL. THEY SAY THAT THEY CANNOT REPLACE MINE SINCE MY VIN IS NOT ON THE LIST AND IT WILL COST ABOUT $140.00 TO FIX. I SUSPECT THAT GM HAS SELECTED TOO SMALL OF A VIN LISTING AND THAT THERE ARE MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I CONTACTED CHEVROLET AT 1-800-222-1020 AND THEY BASICALLY SAID " IT IS NOT ON THE VIN LIST - SORRY". THEY MADE A FILE FOR MY CALL - IT IS FILE # C02791138. THAT WAS DONE TODAY, 1/8/01.*AK
