While driving at highway speed approximately 70 mph), the vehicle suddenly veered into an adjacent lane without any steering input and began swerving back and forth uncontrollably. I did not make any steering corrections that caused this behavior. After approximately 10 seconds of back-and-forth swerving, the vehicle straightened out on its own. No collision occurred, but the incident felt life-threatening. I’m grateful no vehicle was driving next to me, or I would have likely died or been severely injured in a car crash. It was terrifying. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,035.
