I asked to have the airbag turned off until the part is available. I was told that GM dealers are prohibited from turning off safety items like airbags. i wanted to mitigate the possibility of metal fragments impaling me or another passenger. My complaint is that GM has known about this dangerous, defective part for over a year and there is no solution. I shouldn't have to ride in a vehicle with these safety concerns for this long. Please persuade them to hurry this process up while me and my family continue to need this vehicle to transport us safely to work and events.
