370 reportsWHILE MAKING A NORMAL STOP BRAKE PEDAL WENT DOWN MUCH FURTHER THAN NORMAL AND THE TRUCK BARELY STOPPED. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A SMOOTH/DRY ROAD SURFACE. THE PROBLEM WAS REPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP. PROLBEM WAS CORRECTED BY A REPAIR SHOP AT OWNER'S EXPENSE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
ONGOING PROBLEM WITH LOW GROWLING SOUND AND EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. CAN NHTSA HELP IN THIS MATTER. *AK
REPEATED FAILURES, PARTICULARLY WITH BUMPS OR EMERGENCY BRAKING: PEDAL TO FLOOR, BRAKES "GROAN" EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE WITH ONE ACCIDENT.
WHENEVER APPLYING THE ABS BRAKES HARD VEHICLE WOULD SLIDE. THIS CAUSED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. HAD REARENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE IN FRONT. BEEN TO DEALER & MECHANIC HAD TEST DRIVEN VEHICLE FOR BRAKES. THE CAUSE OF BRAKE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE CORRECTED. *AK
WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED ON DRY PAVEMENT ABS BRAKES WILL APPLY, RELEASE AND REAPPLY. VEHICLE WILL ROLL FORWARDS, AND THE BRAKES RELEASE AGAIN. *AK WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED IN ROUGH ROAD CAUSING, SUSPENSION TO BOUNCE AND ANTI LOCK TO LOSS BRAKING ACTION. *YH
WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS PEDAL BECAME SOFT AND WENT TO THE FLOOR, CAUSING AND EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, AND RESULTING IN A MINOR COLLISION. DEALER REPLACED VARIOUS PARTS OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM. *AK
ABS BRAKE FAILURE JUST BEFORE FINAL BRAKING. REAR END OF CAR IN FRONT. BRAKES JUST QUIT. BRAKE WERE JUST SERVICED ON THE WEEK BEFORE. SAME APARENT PROBLEM AS RECALL NO 99041 FOR 93 BLAZERS.
