At 85,000 miles the timing chain triggered the check engine light to come on. At 100,037 miles the engine was burning oil. Three mechanics confirmed that the engine needed to be replaced. An estimated cost of $8,000 - $12,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET CORVETTE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE LEAKED OIL AND THE CONTACT SMELLED AN ABNORMAL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE ODOR REMAINED IN THE VEHICLE FOR A YEAR AND CAME FROM THE VENTS, WHICH DISTRACTED THE DRIVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NALLEY CHEVROLET (4200 JONESBORO RD, UNION CITY, GA 30291, (770) 969-1001) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN OIL CHANGE WAS NEEDED AND A NEW OIL PAN NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND AN ALIGNMENT WAS PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,775.
