31 reportsWHENEVER BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD GO TO THE FLOOR. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. HAS BEEN TO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERS FOR BRAKE PROBLEM. ONE COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE BRAKE PROBLEM. THE OTHER IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM, BUT COULD NOT FIX IT. TOOK TO ANOTHER DEALER & HAD IT REPAIRED, BUT BRAKE PROBLEM HAS REAPPEARED. *AK
THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE ROTORS, CAUSING A LOSS IN BRAKING ABILITY AND NO BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. *AK
WHEN ABS BRAKES ARE APPLIED, THEY WOULD MAKE NOISE. VEHICLE DOES NOT STOP RIGHT AWAY. INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. TOOK TO DEALER & PADS WERE CHANGED/ ROTORS WERE TURNED. *AK
ABS BRAKING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING AIR BUBBLES AND HAVING THE BRAKE FLUID TO SPILL OVER THE MASTER CYLINDER, AND CAUSING LOSS FO BRAKING SYSTEM. *AK
WHEN APPLYING THE ABS BRAKES THE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOOR, CAUSING EXTENEDED STOPPING DISTANCE. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK

WHILE DRIVING AT OR ABOUT 25MPH BRAKES WERE JAMMED, CAUSING THE STEERING COLUMN TO BECOME STIFF. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. VEHICLE LOST CONTROL, RESULTING IN A CRASH. MANUFACTURER CONTACTED . THE BRAKE PADS HAVE BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES PRIOR TO ACCIDENT. *AK

THE SUSPENSION SUPPORT ASSEMBLIES DO NOT MEET GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION'S SPECIFICATION FOR WELD INTEGRITY AND THE AFFECTED WELD CAN FAIL CAUSING THE FRONT OF THE CONTROL ARM TO SEPARATE FROM THE SUSPENSION SUPPORT ASSEMBLY.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: IF THIS OCCURS, THE AFFECTED TIRE/WHEEL ASSEMBLY CAN MOVESUBSTANTIALLY FROM ITS DESIGNED POSITION AND STEERING CONTROL CAN BE SEVERELYIMPAIRED WHICH MAY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: INSTALL REVISED SUSPENSION SUPPORTS WITH ADEQUATE WELD INTEGRITY.
