my power steering will stop working intermittently. this can occur when first starting the vehicle or it can occur when traveling down the road. putting the vehicle in park and shutting the engine off then restarting and sometimes the steering comes back and sometimes it doesn't. lost steering again last week, drove approximately 10 miles and stopped by a local store. came out and started the vehicle and steering came back but the stabililink system light stayed on and the truck pulls to the left traveling down the highway. the problem is intermittent. the chevy dealer told me can't be repaired because they cannot replicate the condition. even though the service codes are set in the ECU. this has been going on for approximately 1 year or longer. extremely dangerous to drive this vehicle. no help from dealer

While driving the truck randomly loses power steering. The display screen states that the anti-lock brake system needs to be serviced. Once I turn the truck off and back on it seems to reset and work as normal. The dealer will not fix due to the truck not having any check engine lights on. The Montebello Chevrolet dealer won’t fix it because they said the check engine light is not on. This is an imminent danger on the road and needs to be fixed.
