On March 6, 2024 I received a crack in my windshield while driving that spans nearly the entire width across the windshield at driver's eye level. Volkswagen has informed me that there are zero replacement windshields for this vehicle available in the entire country. I have attempted to work with Volkswagen directly, the originating dealership directly and 3rd party safety glass retailers. There is no anticipated date that the manufacturer is going to make this windshield part available and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. This vehicle is brand new and it is unacceptable that the manufacturer is not required to manufacture and make available important safety components to service these vehicles while still selling the exact same vehicles as new.
