THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN TREATED BY OUR LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER USING CHEMICALS RECOMMENDED BY TOYOTA BUT THE PROBLEM RETURNS WITHIN A FEW MONTHS. I CONTACTED TOYOTA NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS INFORMED THAT TOYOTA WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.
NO SUMMARY LISTED FOR THIS VEHICLE. *AK
THE TRANSMISSION FLUID FILTER WAS "CLOGGED" AND FILLED WITH METAL SHAVINGS CAUSING COMPLETE FAILURE TO THE TRANSMISSION. *YC
TOYOTA SEATTLE WAS REFUSED TO LIST OF HISTORY PROBLEMS OF MY TOYOTA. NO SAFETY DEFECT MENTIONED. *AK
THE LOCATION OF THE AIR BAG WIRING HARNESS IS IN THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER. I WAS IN ACCIDENT AT A SPEED OF 25 TO 30 MPH AND THE COLLISION WAS IN THE SIDE OF THE VECHILE AND THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER. THE COLLSION CAUSED THE WIRING FOR THE AIR BAG TO BE CUT. THE WIRING FOR THE AIR BAG SHOULD BE SUBSTANTAILLY MORE PROTECTED !!!
