SUDDEN FAILURE OF BRAKES WHILE RIDING ON CITY STREET. INVESTIGATION BY DEALER ISOLATED IT TO THE ABS HYDRAULIC UNIT FAILING "CLOSED" AND PREVENTING PRESSURE FROM HANDLE/MASTER CYLINDER REACHING THE WHEELS. FAILED JUNE 2016. REPAIRED 7 JULY 2016. BIKE BOUGHT IN 2013 FROM ORIGINAL OWNER. FLUIDS CHANGED AT THAT TIME BUT WERE FR…

SUDDEN FAILURE OF BRAKES WHILE RIDING ON CITY STREET. INVESTIGATION BY DEALER ISOLATED IT TO THE ABS HYDRAULIC UNIT FAILING "CLOSED" AND PREVENTING PRESSURE FROM HANDLE/MASTER CYLINDER REACHING THE WHEELS. FAILED JUNE 2016. REPAIRED 7 JULY 2016. BIKE BOUGHT IN 2013 FROM ORIGINAL OWNER. FLUIDS CHANGED AT THAT TIME BUT WERE FRESH WHEN CHANGED. BRAKE FLUID WAS HONEY COLORED AND NOT CLEAR. ONLY FRONT BRAKE FAILED. REAR WAS STILL OPERATIONAL. (IMPLYING ONLY A VALVE CONTROLLING THE FRONT BRAKE LINE WAS STUCK CLOSED. AS A RESULT OF THIS PARTIAL FAILURE, THE BIKE COULD BE CAREFULLY RIDDEN HOME. IT WAS TRAILERED TO THE SHOP. SHOP HAS THE PART.
