The contact owned a 2023 RAM 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed, however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact's vehicle rear-rear-ended the vehicle in front of the contact's vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The contact was informed of an unknown recall repair with a similar failure description. The dealer confirmed that the VIN was associated with the unknown recall repair and the repair was performed. The vehicle was repaired. The other driver's vehicle was towed to a local tow yard, where it was later condemned for total loss. The police and paramedics were at the scene. The contact did not sustain any injuries. The other driver was treated by paramedics. A police report was filed, however, the information was unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 17,743.

While coming to a stop, the truck died and immediately set the emergency brakes. I was stopped about 300ft. from stop sign with cars stopped behind me. With the cars behind me honking, I waved them around. Released the brake and restarted the truck. Took the truck to the dealer and they could not reproduce the incident, and it threw no codes. This could be a huge safety concern if it were to happen in traffic.

On [XXX] at 6:15 PM approximately my brakes failed to engage and caused a rear end collision on [XXX] . This accident was caused by my brakes not responding at all when pressed fully to the ground and causing a collision and damage to two vehicles Loss of vehicle usage, property damage, and loss of work, After the collision I received an email from Dodge Fiat Chrysler at 2:01 AM on November 26th 2024 saying that there was a safety recall regarding the electronic braking system A B S module ESC system that states it can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. This email came in after the accident, and I and the other party suffered multiple damages due to the malfunction of the braking system in my 2023 Dodge Ram. We were going approximately 10- 15 miles per hour, When the woman in front of me broke very hardly, and she claimed she was talking to her child, and I was unable to use the brake as it was not working and pressed to the floor and complete loss of control of the braking system. i was unaware of this issue prior to this email after the accident at 2:01 am the following day, In opinion Dodge Chrysler should be responsible for the damages caused to both vehicles including property damages as we are all out of a car and out of work currently. While driving on a busy highway, facing early morning sun, I lowered the driver side sun visor to help keep the sun out of my eyes. A few minutes later, the sun visor came loose at the left-hand side and fell onto my hands as they were positioned on the steering wheel. This startled me, caused me to be blinded momentarily by the sun in my eyes, and caused me to have to move the visor out of my way (it was partially blocking my vision as it was hanging there from the clip on the right-hand side of the visor). It didn't cause an accident, but it certainly could have. The visor came loose from the pivot point near the driver's side A-pillar, upper left-hand corner of the windshield. I visited a Ram dealer on the way home from work, to see about getting the issue fixed. This was in October. It's now December and the dealer is still waiting on the part. The technician that looked at it did not explicitly state that it was a common issue, but his reaction to it seemed to indicate that to me. I should also note that this vehicle is a company vehicle, and not my personal vehicle.

I was approaching a 4 way stop when the engine lost power and shutoff. The vehicle auto shifted to park before i was able to come to a complete stop and the steering wheel locked up. I was the only passenger, all doors were closed and i was the only vehicle at the intersection. I was able to powerback on and continue on my way, but i have lost all trust in the vehicle and will be taking it in to the dealership tomorrow morning.

On 19 November 2024, immediately after dealer performed an oil change and accomplished recall 24V-653 and 24V729, on drive home vehicle engine shut off at a red light as normal (auto start/stop), but did not auto re-start. Had to power cycle in order to move truck. On 20 November 2024, vehicle engine shut off at a red light as normal (auto start/stop), but this time the SafeHold system engaged the parking brake and shifted the truck into park. The parking brake warning lamp illuminated. Truck would not move until the SafeHold system was manually bypassed. Surrounding traffic became impatient and took unnecessary risks to go around my truck that would not move. Immediately took truck to dealer for diagnosis and repair. On 22 November 2024, picked up truck from dealer with problem not repeatable, no repair performed. On 24 November 2024, exact same problem happened (vehicle engine shut off at a red light as normal (auto start/stop), SafeHold system engaged the parking brake and shifted the truck into park. 2023 RAM 1500 v8 with e-torque system stalls while driving. The vehicle will not start after stalling. The emergency brake is engaged and other lights are on the dash. I have had this problem happen three times and each time I had the vehicle brought to the local Dodge dealer service center. The problem was reported to the dealer service center and they have been unable to reproduce the problem. They also say the computer has no codes indicating a problem. The problem was also reported to Sellantis North America and their reply has been that, since the dealer cannot reproduce the problem, there is no case they can keep open. There were no warning lights prior to the vehicle stalling. After the stall, several warning lights were showing, including emergency brake, anti-traction off.

On three occasions now the engine has stalled after stopping for stop sign then attempting to accelerate and continue driving. When this occurs the emergency brake is also self deployed causing a sudden and hard stop. This could lead to a rear end collision and possible injury. Ironically this has happened at the exact same stop sign all three times. There were no warning lamps or any indication at all of any engine issues prior to or after the engine stalling. I have owned the vehicle for 16 months and it has 16k miles on it. The vehicle drives fine after each incident. I am contacting the dealer i purchased the truck from today about this issue. It will be the first time reaching out about this problem.

When I was driving on a very busy road, the emergency/ parking brake immediately turned on while the truck was returning back in motion, which made the car come to a complete stop. I had to manually turn off the parking brake, even though I was not the one to turn it on in the first place. This could have put the people behind me in serious danger, as they could have hit me and then been seriously injured. The problem was brought to the attention of the manufacturer, and they had just asked me if I had turned on the brake with my knee. After being met with an apology, I was asked to bring the truck into the servicer the following morning. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and they only appeared after this had happened.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. The second-row center and left-side seat belt buckle anchors may have been improperly installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An improperly installed seat belt buckle anchor may fail to properly restrain occupants, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and attach the seat belt buckle anchor to the body structure as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 18, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 67D. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A driver's side air bag that does not deploy as intended increases the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy: Dealers secured the connectors for the air bag, free of charge. All vehicles have been remedied. Owner notification letters were mailed May 27, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 08C.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Ram 1500 Classic vehicles equipped with heated trailer tow rearview mirrors. The mirror glass may detach from the driver's side heated trailer tow rearview mirror. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Detached mirror glass can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Exterior Lighting
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023 Ram 1500 Classic, Ram 3500 Classic, 3500 Cab Chassis, 2023-2024 Ram 2500, 4500/5500 Cab Chassis, and Ram 3500 vehicles. The steering column control module may cause the high beams to activate when the turn signal is used or activate the turn signal when the high beams are used. In addition, the turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: Turn signals and/or high beams that do not function as intended may cause confusion or reduced visibility to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Ram 1500, Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with GVWR less than 10,000 lbs., and 2022-2024 Ram 2500 vehicles. The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview camera that does not display an image reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the radio software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 24, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 97A.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator, and 2022-2023 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine. The high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) may fail.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Fuel pump failure can result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the HPFP and replace additional fuel system components, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 17, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 01A.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Ram 1500 and 2023 Ram 2500 vehicles. The trailer reverse steering control module (TRSCM) may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility of the rear view, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the TRSCM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 1, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
