The car went into a skid which it shouldn’t have. right in front of my car this roadway is like a highway. The car went into a skid which it should know with the antilock brake system, and upon contact the airbags did that a ploy deploy And upon contact airbags, didn’t deploy my wife, and I have to – my knees hit the dashboard. The person that caused the accident his company with State Farm and they put me at 15% liability which is totally wrong. I was sick at the time when they were going over the money they took thousands of dollars from me now my car is destroyed. They paid me to fix it, which doesn’t even cover the cost of the repairs. The car would have not gotten into the accident if it didn’t skid I would have been able to stop. I need Nissan to do something either replace this car or repair it because the accident should not have occurred. Airbags did not deploy and we got hurt. I’m not looking a lawsuit nothing like that. I want my car just fixed or replaced and the car does have recalls for electrical and other problems

My wife and I were driving down the street 2017 Nissan rogue. Number two driver illegally backed across double solid yellow line to go into his driveway. I hit the brakes the car started to skid at 30 miles an hour with antilock brake system should’ve kicked in upon the crash. The airbags did not deploy and airbags. Come out anywhere from 8 miles an hour on I was a mechanic for a long time my wife banged up her shoulder and her back and I’m disabled as it is and I hurt my legs really bad, banging against the dashboard, the driver from the other car insurance paid us some money but it was even close to what it be for the repairs and I do not let them know about the airbags or the antilock brake system. This was very bad if we were at high speed we would have been killed. I did not document this anywhere. I did not put it on social media. I’m keeping it to myself for now , I have films in pictures of how the action occurred and the gentleman is still backing into the driveway. State farm blame me 15%. They scammed me I’ve been very sick I was in essential worker under the governor of New Jersey or Hackensack Meridian, Genewiz labs and Terry’s pharmacy that I made sure people got their medication‘s where others would not deliver or bring to them. I actually became very ill and now I walk with a walker . I’m a disabled man with a wrecked car. I have a very high car payment that I can afford and I need help with this. I think Nissan should replace this car. It is dangerous. This car is dangerous and it has a recall for the water leak through the electrical that I smelt burning a couple times when it rains. This car is a fire bowl waiting to happen but like I said, I’m not posting on social media and not letting no insurance companies know about it. I need to get in touch with somebody my phone number is [XXX]. Beginning of September 2022 the warning light for passenger side airbags came on. This error causes all airbags to shut off. I-95 Nissan said a new sensor was needed. I had to pay in full for part. They said part was back ordered. When I asked for a loaner car saying my car wasn’t safe I was told “It’s a safe car, just drive carefully ” and “Lots of cars on the road don’t have airbags”. Every week I was told no ETA for part. I took car to private mechanic who verified issue. Filed a report with Nissan corporation, they still have no ETA for part. It has been almost 3 months of no airbags and NO help from Nissan. This car is only 5 years old. This is unacceptable. The response from Nissan is negligent. I have no other option but to drive this car. I can’t afford a new car!

Passenger air bag light is on. Took to my local dealership for an oil change and for them to look/fix the warning light or air bag for the passenger side front seat bag. Told them I have mentioned the light coming on and off when my car was under warranty in the past. Was told by Nissan service person that they have no record of problem. They wanted over $600 for oil change, and fixing warning light (plus they said I needed all the fluids in my car changed). We don't have $600 plus for problem that should be fixed by Nissan. We left and did not have repairs done. I am worried that air bag won't deploy if there is an accident.

I took the vehicle back to the Nissan dealer, and was advised that occupant sensor unit failure and both sensors and control unit needed to be replaced. These types of saftey equipment should not fail in a vehicle that is only 5 years old. I read a report that this defect was part of a recall.

The OCS system has failed in my car. The passenger airbags are constantly turned off, even when a full sized adult is in the passenger seat, therefore putting them at risk if a crash were to occur. The yellow light indicating that the passenger airbag system is turned off is constantly on, as well as the red light on the dashboard indicating an airbag problem. These constant warning lights began May 19, 2022. I have not yet taken the vehicle in to be inspected. I have researched this issue, and it does seem to be a problem among Nissan Rogues.

PE19010 · False Automatic Emergency Braking

Opened Sep 9, 2019 · No close date supplied

Status: open (inferred from source dates) · Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking

NHTSA received a defect petition (DP19-001) from the Center for Auto Safety (CAS) on March 21, 2019 alleging that the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system on Model Year (MY) 2017-2018 Nissan Rogue and Rogue Sport vehicles was engaging in cases where there was no obstruction in the path of the vehicle. The CAS petition additionally alleges that, based on Nissan's actions, the manufacturer is aware of the issue due to issuing a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) launching two "Quality Actions," and initiating a "Customer Service Initiative" in relation to it. CAS contends that Nissan's actions do not represent an adequate long-term solution to the problem, as the action is only available during the basic coverage period of the warranty. CAS also argues that the alleged failures are an unreasonable risk to safety and views Nissan's communications as not acknowledging the potential safety issue involved, instead treating the alleged problem as a performance update. The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) analyzed Vehicle Owner Questionnaire (VOQ) complaints received from consumers and identified a total of 129 unique subject vehicle reports (for all submission dates) alleging a false positive triggering of AEB. Of these complaints, three were identified that contained allegations of a collision resulting from the activation of the system, and all three indicating related injuries. In response to ODI's April 15, 2019 Information Request letter, Nissan provided data indicating that it has received 750 unique subject vehicle complaints relating to false positive activation of the AEB system. Of these complaints, 12 were identified that contained allegations of a collision resulting from the activation of the system. Four complaints contained allegations of injuries, three of which were the result of a collision. These complaints included duplicates of complaints that ODI received. The injury allegations were limited to soft tissue type injuries such as whiplash and bruising.Based on its review of the information identified to date, ODI has granted the petition and is opening this preliminary evaluation in order to evaluate the cause, scope and frequency of AEB false positive activations, as well as to evaluate the suitability of the manufacturer's campaign to address the concern or improve performance of the AEB system. The complaints cited can be viewed at NHTSA.gov under the following ODI identification numbers: 11230875, 11230481, 11230361, 11229400, 11229302, 11229294, 11228994, 11223074, 11222925, 11222644, 11220499, 11218713, 11218608, 11217157, 11210334, 11210256, 11210148, 11209127, 11209032, 11207333, 11205931, 11205717, 11205661, 11205172, 11205124, 11205027, 11204803, 11204349, 11204324, 11196805, 11196561, 11196466, 11196091, 11195938, 11195574, 11194380, 11193989, 11192761, 11192283, 11192063, 11190855, 11190840, 11189976, 11187374, 11186903, 11185890, 11185883, 11185132, 11183406, 11180813, 11174713, 11173666, 11173302, 11172299, 11171331, 11170989, 11165434, 11164646, 11162898, 11162502, 11162396, 11161413, 11161230, 11155985, 11155209, 11155181, 11154181, 11153607, 11153334, 11151373, 11151028, 11142595, 11142557, 11142386, 11141775, 11141433, 11141387, 11141347, 11140604, 11139711, 11139226, 11133402, 11132376, 11130998, 11130662, 11129949, 11128704, 11124099, 11123564, 11123353, 11123321, 11122783, 11119475, 11119300, 11118604, 11115088, 11113479, 11113371, 11112371, 11111659, 11111057, 11110919, 11110689, 11104075, 11103844, 11103437, 11102715, 11102333, 11100117, 11099313, 11091006, 11089960, 11089798, 11089533, 11088815, 11088718, 11081072, 11079453, 11073644, 11072718, 11065505, 11061598, 11057739, 11056061, 11055766, 11048349, 11035301, 11033225, and 10972343.
