TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN MAXIMA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AND APPROACHING A RED LIGHT THE VEHICLE STOPPED. THE TRAFFIC LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL THREE MORE TIMES, THE RPM REVVED UP AND THE VEHICLE SPED UP. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE TO THE RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER SULLIVAN AUTO TRADING (95 S GATEWAY DR, FREDERICKSBURG, VA 22406, (540) 654-5200) TO SCHEDULE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,748.
