On the morning of February 24, 2025, I went to the doctor's office because I was really sick. Their protocol is to check in then go wait in the vehicle since you might be contagious to other patients. My mom had gone with me, and was inside checking me in. I am sitting in my parked vehicle at 7:35am when there was a VERY loud pop that scared the heck out of me! My mom said she heard it from inside the building, as did other patients sitting in the lobby! I waited a moment and looked around. There was nothing unusual so I exited the vehicle and walked around. I got to the back and found the whole back window was completely cracked, although still intact, and there were big areas on the sides and bottom, where there was more breaking of the glass to the frame. The temperature at the time was in the low 40s, and I had used the heater from the house to the clinic, which is about a mile away. The car was on, as was the heater, which I have done on many occasions with no incident.

I took my 2024 Nissan Kicks SV to the dealership with approximately 2000 miles on it. The vehicle as an increased concerning issue where, while idling in park with no one in the vehicle, the engine will have a continuous revving then loud click/clunk noise, return to normal, then start again. It’s been getting progressively louder. Dealership stated they were unable to replicate the issue and there were no codes/issues showing on the computer. It started happening around 1500 miles occasionally and quieter, but now at nearly 2500 miles it’s increasing in frequency and noise level. I’ve noticed it happens multiple times a week if not every time I drive the vehicle. This is very concerning for a new vehicle.

I purchased a 2024 Nissan Kicks from Courtesy Nissan of Tampa ( Florida) on 7/6/2024. I have 4011 miles on this vehicle. I should preface this letter with letting it be known that I have owned in the past A Nissan 1998 Frontier prick up/ 2004 Xterra, a 2012 Sentra, 2014 Crew cab Frontier PU, a 2019 Crew Cab Frontier PU , a 2019 Nissan Kicks - none of these vehicles have had the issue I currently have with this new car. It is a bit difficult to describe -so bear with me. The area where you put the gas pump nozzle into he the gas tank opening is Loose. It moves when filling up the tank. I have NEVER had this issue with any of the other Nissans I have owned. I took this car back to the dealer ship on Saturday 9/14 to have this checked out. I was told that this is not uncommon. I beg to differ with this perspective. I was told the mechanic " went to several other Nissans and found that they too moved" Well as I was sitting looking into the bay where my car was up on the rack watching the 2 people that were looking under my car - I did not see either of these 2 go anywhere. I believe that this is a dangerous situation as gas could spill over into this area and cause a fire if it hit a hot area under my car. I feel that the dealership was very indifferent to this possibility. As I was watching these 2 people in the mechanic bay - I did a little googling.

Electrical SystemFuel/propulsion System
The fuel gage or DTE(Distance to Empty) started to malfunction after the last time the tank was filled up. It did not correct itself and now I can't get an appointment with the Service Department to have it look at.

Problem with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). I'm driving on a road with 2 lanes in my direction at about 35 mph. Approached a curve that makes a slight left turn in the road. There happens to be a bicyclist on the curve. As the car reaches a position where the bicyclist is in direct frontal view of the vehicles cameras/radar, the AEB activates, even though we're both on the curve and I'm not going to hit the bicyclist. The activation of the AEB lasted only a second or two until the bicyclist was no longer in my direct path, but the noise from the brakes activating and the sudden deceleration scared the devil out of me causing me to panic momentarily. If a car was tailgating at the time, they may have hit me. The AEB system should recognize that I was on a turn/curve at the time and not have activated.
