I am submitting a formal complaint regarding my 2022 Lincoln Navigator, VIN [XXX], which I purchased new from a Lincoln dealership in [XXX]. Since purchasing the vehicle, it has experienced multiple significant mechanical, safety, and reliability problems: The transmission required repair, and the vehicle remained at the repair facility for more than one month while the work was completed. The original tires had to be replaced, resulting in an out-of-pocket expense of approximately $1,900. The suspension has not operated properly since we purchased the vehicle and continues to cause concern. The vehicle has reportedly been affected by seven recalls. The entire air-conditioning system now needs repair, and I have been quoted approximately $2,700. The continuing transmission and suspension problems are particularly concerning because they may affect the vehicle’s safe operation. Considering that this Navigator was purchased new and is a premium vehicle, this history of repeated defects, recalls, extended repair time, and substantial expenses is unacceptable. I respectfully request: A comprehensive review of the vehicle’s complete warranty, recall, and repair history. A thorough inspection of the transmission and suspension to determine whether the vehicle can be operated safely. Repair of the complete air-conditioning system at no cost to me. Reimbursement of the approximately $1,900 paid to replace the tires. Appropriate reimbursement for transportation expenses and the extended period the vehicle was unavailable. Consideration of a manufacturer repurchase, replacement vehicle, extended warranty, or other substantial goodwill assistance because of the vehicle’s continuing problems. Please establish a formal case, provide me with the case number, and respond in writing within 10 business days. At about 2:30am after hearing some popping noises I went to the vehicle and saw that the engine under the bonnet was on fire. The fire was seeping out from the sides of the bonnet. The vehicle had been parked since 9:20pm the previous night. I called emergency services including the fire department and the police. It spread very quickly in the Garage where the car was parked and burnt out the garage and the Tesla Plaid parked in the same garage. Firefighters put out the fire with total disintegrated remains. It was just luck that I was awake to catch this at this stage otherwise it would have spread to the house. My 3 children and wife were sleeping. The fire started in the engine of the parked Lincoln Navigator. Visual confirmation of the event is evident.

2022 Lincoln Navigator L Reserve has many issues with Modules one of them that keeps goes bad is Apin which controls the screen and all other features like Massage seats Running Boards and Music and all other controls that gets disabled when it goes bad it’s a frequent problem which I has been having often changed 3 times but the problem is persistent Lincoln hasn’t made a recall for this particular model they are keep updating the software or replacing Apin but it’s not a long time fix you’ll have this issue as long as you have this model it’s my 4th time getting fix other issues with this model is blind spot sensor that goes on while driving and it stays on the screen till it’s get reprogrammed at the dealership with updates so this 2022 Model is not as same as the other Lincoln Navigator models

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The seat belt pretensioner in the driver and/or front passenger seat may inadvertently lock the seat belt, which will not allow the belt to retract or extend.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Seat belts that do not retract or extend can fail to restrain an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt retractors as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed June 8, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in August 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S34. This recall replaces and expands previous NHTSA recalls 24V099 and 25V197. Vehicles previously inspected or repaired under the prior recalls will need the new repair completed.

Consequence: Loss of the rearview camera image and certain driver assistance features, can reduce the driver’s ability to detect hazards, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The Image Processing Module A software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. This is a Phased campaign. The moonroof wind deflector clips may be inadequately attached to the moonroof frame, which can result in the wind deflector detaching from the vehicle.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A detached wind deflector can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the low pressure fuel pump on super duty vehicles and update the powertrain control module (PCM) software on all other affected vehicles, free of charge. Consequence: A loss of brake function increases the risk of a crash.

A software error may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A frozen or missing rearview camera image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air update, free of charge. This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model and model years. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on June 26, 2025. Additional letters will be mailed once the final remedy is available on each phase. Due to a software error, a towed trailer equipped with an electric or electric-over hydraulic brake system may not brake.

Consequence: Loss of trailer brake functionality can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence: Without a label that shows the proper restraint usage guidelines, the occupants may have an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Without instructions, the head restraints may be improperly adjusted, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy: Ford will mail the Owner's Manual addendums that describe how to adjust and remove the head restraints for the center seating positions, free of charge. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 F-150, 2022 Maverick, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles. Due to a software error, a towed trailer equipped with an electric or electric-over hydraulic brake system may not brake.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Loss of trailer brake functionality could result in extended stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the integrated trailer brake control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 22, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S17.
