The contact owns a 2015 Lexus RC 350. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, it ran for a short while before suddenly hesitating and stalling. All attempts to restart the vehicle failed. The contact owns a 2015 Lexus RC 350. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, it ran for a short while before suddenly hesitating and stalling. All attempts to restart the vehicle failed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number 20V012000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.

26V222000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:delivery:fuel Pump

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2015-2022 Lexus RC, 2016-2020 GS, and 2022 IS vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 5, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26LB05 and 26LA05.
