The steel overflow line inside the tank has failed. The tank has been drained and removed. It can be inspected upon request. This posed a safety risk for myself and others. If the fuel tank was filled above a 1/4, it drained out the over flow while parked and riding. It was not discovered until I rode to the gas station to fill…

The steel overflow line inside the tank has failed. The tank has been drained and removed. It can be inspected upon request. This posed a safety risk for myself and others. If the fuel tank was filled above a 1/4, it drained out the over flow while parked and riding. It was not discovered until I rode to the gas station to fill up and noticed gasoline draining as I filled it. A simple spark could have caught the bike on fire, regardless or riding or parked. The tank has not been inspected by anyone other than myself. I myself am a experienced and educated mechanic. I have a picture of the failed fuel line from a mechanics mirror.
