WHEN RIDING MY NEW 2010 KAWASAKI VULCAN NOMAD, I EXPERIENCE RANDOM STALLING WHEN EITHER FIRST STARTING THE MOTOR, OR WHEN DOWNSHIFTING TO LOWER GEARS. I HAVE HAD THE OCCASION WHEN THE MOTORCYCLE HAS STALLED WHEN HEAVY TRAFFIC FROM BEHIND OR BESIDE HAS SWERVED TO AVOID HITTING ME DUE TO THE STALLING. THE PROBLEM DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE TEMPERATURE RELATED, AS IT WILL STALL EVEN WHEN THE ENGINE HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR 30 MINUTES. I HAVE TRIED TO WAIT AT LEAST 15 SECONDS BEFORE TOUCHING THE THROTTLE AT START UP AS DIRECTED BY THE DEALER. THE 15 SECOND WAIT DOES NOT ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM. THIS MOTORCYCLE HAS ONLY 600 MILES ON IT, SO THIS STALLING SHOULD NOT BE OCCURRING. AFTER CONSULTING WITH OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE, I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THE PROBLEM IS WIDESPREAD. KAWASAKI HAS FAILED TO TAKE NOTICE OF THIS DEFECT, OR TO ACKNOWLEDGE ITS EXISTENCE. I HAVE ALSO TRIED ADJUSTING MY IDLE SPEED 50 RPMS HIGHER AS DESCRIBED IN THE OWNERS MANUAL TO NO AVAIL. *TR
