When I pulled my Jeep 4xe into my garage, I got an alert on my radio saying my Jeep needed to updated. I selected to go ahead and update it. The next time I drove my vehicle, I made it about a quarter mile. When I was crossing an intersection, all of the lights on my dash went crazy and my Jeep completely shut down. Luckily I could put it into neutral to coast through the busy intersection. It was very scary. I had to pull over, turn it off and back on again. It did start up and continued to drive. Now my check engine light is on.
After the the latest U-connect update, my jeep will not run after about 30 seconds while driving. Stalls while in motion. Will restart, but then shuts off again. Has an engine code on dash.

Steering wheel completely locks when the car shuts down.
Update happened to Uconnect on October 10th. The vehicle now shuts off every 1/2 mile. When this happens all power is lost and vehicle states to put bricked in park.

OTS update today on 10-10-25 on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE caused my Jeep to stall/die about a mile from my house losing all engine/motor power and my Drive selector D to begin flashing. I had to put my Jeep in park in a busy intersection narrowly being hit several times by oncoming traffic. I had to put in park and shut the Jeep completely off, then back on and finally after reboot, could put in drive to safely get out of the intersection. My check engine light is now on and I have zero trust in my Jeep and know it is EXTREMELY dangerous to safely drive. When all traffic was gone, I made it home, but engine light is on, and radio display that shows icons are all missing, and screen is flashing and changing screen sizes. Jeep is not drivable.

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle entered LIMP Mode with the image of a turtle displayed on the instrument panel. Soon after the failure, the instrument panel went blank. The contact stated that the vehicle lost motive power with a loud fan blowing sound coming from the vehicle. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle. Upon restarting the vehicle, the vehicle failed to exceed 20 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions however, the mechanics were unable to duplicate the failure or diagnose the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer unrepaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, until their vehicle is repaired. Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring and electric hydraulic power steering pump, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 9, 2026. Contamination in the central vision processing module or improper programming may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the central vision processing module software or replace the module, as necessary, free of charge. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. Recall 22V-865 was issued by the manufacturer to address an engine shutdown condition in certain MY 2021-2023 Wrangler 4xe vehicles. The complaints noted here contain both post recall remedy failures and failures in vehicles not included within the scope of 22V-865. An analysis comparing complaints received before the issuance of recall 22V-865 and complaints outside the scope of the recall has been conducted. The results show the current complaint rate is higher in the out of scope vehicles than it was for vehicles that were later covered by the recall. ODI is opening this Recall Query (RQ) to assess the severity of the alleged defect in vehicles not included in recall 22V-865.ODI will also assess the scope and remedy effectiveness of the recall. The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has identified 68 Vehicle Owner Questionnaire (VOQ) reports for model years (MY) 2021 through 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicles alleging a loss of motive power. Recall 22V-865 was issued by the manufacturer to address an engine shutdown condition in certain MY 2021-2023 Wrangler 4xe vehicles. The complaints noted here contain both post recall remedy failures and failures in vehicles not included within the scope of 22V-865.
