Stopped veheicle at construction stop light diverting heavy traffic to one lane. Was first in line at the light and when light turned green I started thru the one lane( total length was probably 3/10 of a mile) with a couple of hundred yeards to go my engine stopped running and I was able to just barely reach the end of the one lane and pull over where the mile of traffic built up behind me could pass. Called wrecker and got towed to nearest Jeep dealer and was told the fuel pump had gone out. Been decades since I had a fuel pump go out in a car. Just glad I was not in heavy [XXX] traffic. That would have been dangerous. Repair invoice says that I reported "engine light came and lost oil preasure". Neither of those alerts came on. The eengine just stopped out of the blue. Otherwise, I am very happy with the ride, comfort and performance of this Wagoneer. Thought someone should know about this event. The vehicle experienced a charging system failure while driving. The battery warning light illuminated and battery voltage dropped to approximately 11.7 volts while the engine was running. The vehicle continued to discharge the battery while being driven, creating a risk of loss of electrical power and possible vehicle shutdown. Diagnostic trouble codes included P0562 (System Voltage Low), P0BDE (Drive Motor Inverter Temperature Sensor E Circuit High), and P0AEE (Drive Motor Inverter Temperature Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance). The charging system was inspected by an independent repair facility. The serpentine belt was verified to be functioning properly and related fuses were checked. The repair facility diagnosed a failure of the 48-volt eTorque Belt Starter Generator (Motor Generator Unit/MGU). The replacement part is reportedly on backorder. The condition is repeatable and occurs during normal driving. The battery warning lamp and low voltage condition were observed and documented. This failure creates a potential safety concern because the vehicle can lose charging capability while operating on public roads.

While driving at lows speeds approaching a stop light the vehicle will just shut off and shift into park. I have to hit the brakes, make sure its in park, and hit the start button, it restarts then doesn't do it until randomly later it does it again. There is a check engine light on.

We were driving and approaching a stop light at a major intersection when the vehicle stalled out. We heard it sputter at first and then cut off. We tried multiple times to restart, but to no avail—just kept sputtering. This is the second time this has happened. The first time was also reported to NHTSA, and I was driving alone and ascending a Colorado mountain when it stalled out. Thankfully, both times, we were able to remain safe; however, this is a huge problem as both times we were on major roads.

Turned car off and back on quickly (as was on the road) and the smell was gone but the check engine light was on. I took to dealership next morning and it has been three weeks now that it has been at the shop. They are saying it’s an issue with the hybrid part of the battery/engine that has gone bad.

on March 23, 2024, the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series 3 turned off while at a stop light. We were at a red light and completely stopped and the engine turned off on us. We had the vehicle in for a routine oil change, and afterwards the vehicle battery died 3 times before the dealership replaced the battery. We are unsure if the dead battery is related to the engine turning off on the March 23 incident. I am unsure if there were any warning. We are also getting a error message that says "Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer." The dealership tries to tell us that the software is up to date. We have issues with our CarPlay always connecting to the vehicle when it should every single time.

While driving on [XXX] towards Vail, Co—the Jeep Wagoneer suddenly stopped accelerating while going up the side of the mountain. Lights on the dashboard were lit up, including the braking light. I was in the right hand lane, so luckily there was a shoulder on the side of the road, albeit very shallow, that I got into and immediately called roadside assistance from the vehicle. Prior to this moment, I had been driving for a little over an hour with no issue or warning. The safety concern is high, especially since I was on [XXX] accelerating up a mountain with lots of traffic behind me. Driving normally and instantly, many alert lights came on. Brake booster failed and difficult to stop vehicle. Vehicle engine power decreased. Radio screen shuts down frequently which is less an issue of safety but reflects instability of entire electrical system which seems to cause errors in critical systems such as braking and other safety equipment. Concerns regarding critical malfunctions seem to be mounting in the Wagoneer and will likely result in injury at some point if not already.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2023-2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, and 2023-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L vehicles. The pivot bolts for the roof rack crossbars may not have been tightened properly, allowing them to detach.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Detached roof rack crossbars can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the roof rack crossbar pivot bolts, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed October 8, 2026. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 81D. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The quarter trim on the driver and passenger windows may not have been properly secured, which can allow it to detach.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Detached trim pieces can create a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the quarter window glass assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning February 19, 2026. The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The third-row seat belts may not allow occupants to properly access or fasten the seat belt to the buckle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An unfastened seat belt may increase the risk of injury to occupants during a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The Central Vision Park Assist module (CVPAM) software may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A rearview image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility of the rear view, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the Central Vision Park Assist Module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 31, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 56A.

The upper B-pillar interior trim may not be fully seated and could interfere with the side curtain air bag (SABIC) deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A compromised deployment of the SABIC can reduce occupant protection in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The second-row center-seat recliner pull strap may bind on the seat trim surface, preventing the seat back from locking into the upright position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A seat back that is not locked into position can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 80 consumer complaints alleging an engine stall and loss of motive power on model year (MY) 2022 RAM 1500 pickup trucks and 2022 Jeep Wagoneer SUV vehicles. The particular engines in the subject vehicles are equipped with the Fiat Chrysler Automotive Group LLC (FCA) 5.7L Hemi eTorque system. The eTorque system is a mild hybrid system that lets the vehicle partially power itself. It accomplishes this by converting the captured energy from the braking system into electricity for the battery pack, which is then used to power a variety of electrical components. ETorque engines replace the alternator with a 48-volt battery-powered belt drive and a motor generator. The motor generator provides extra torque to the crankshaft during gear changes. Simultaneously, the motor generator uses the 48-volt battery pack to increase torque. Many of the complaints state that the vehicle's engine would shut off, often while travelling at slow speed, the vehicle would shift into park and apply the emergency brake. The vehicles were sometimes able to be restarted. In addition, complaints state that the malfunction warning light with the battery fault symbol appeared on the dash.  Many complaints state that a low voltage condition fault is present, sometimes not being able to restart the vehicle. On April 13, 2023, FCA announced recall 23V-265 describing a defect in certain 2021 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with 5.7L eTorque engines.  The recall described a defect in the powertrain control module software can cause an incorrect fuel mixture condition in the engine, and result in an engine stall. In February of 2024, ODI provided the complaints on the 2022 Ram 1500 and Wagoneer vehicles to FCA. After reviewing the complaints, FCA stated that “the loss of motive power was likely not caused by an over rich fuel condition (as outlined in recall 23V-265), but rather some other cause (e.g., an electrical concern that causes the engine to shut down).” A Preliminary Evaluation has been opened to assess the scope, frequency, root cause(s) and consequences of these loss/stall of motive power incidents.  Additionally, ODI may expand the scope of the subject population during the investigation, if needed.
