This vehicle has experienced the same or substantially similar serious safety-related malfunction on three separate occasions. The vehicle becomes unable to engage gear or move and also will not shut down normally. The first incident occurred in XXX in a parking garage in [XXX]. The vehicle powered on but would not engage gear or move and would not shut down. Operation was eventually restored following an electrical reset involving the 12-volt battery. The second incident occurred on XXX, while the vehicle was in my driveway. The vehicle again would not properly engage gear or move and would not shut down normally. An electrical/high-voltage system reset was required before the vehicle became operational again. The third and most serious incident occurred on XXX, at approximately 8:00 p.m. on a highway shoulder near the RFK Bridge in [XXX]. After stopping on the shoulder, I attempted to leave but the vehicle again would not engage gear or move and would not shut down normally. I was therefore stranded on the side of a highway. Police responded and remained behind my vehicle because of the hazardous location while I attempted to restore operation. The vehicle eventually became operational again following an electrical reset. I am concerned that the vehicle can unexpectedly become immobilized and unable to engage Drive or Reverse and may also remain powered on and unable to shut down. Stellantis technical documentation for 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer S vehicles describes similar electronic park/pawl faults including DTCs P1E18-00, P1625-00 and [XXX]. I have requested that Stellantis investigate these conditions. The recurring nature of this defect, particularly the XXX incident requiring police assistance creates a serious safety concern. I am requesting that NHTSA document and investigate this recurring defect and determine whether other Jeep Wagoneer S vehicles have experienced the same condition. Since July 2025, this vehicle has suffered from severe, recurring electronic and software glitches that critically affect driveability and safe operation. While driving, multiple critical warnings display on the instrument cluster indicating that the airbags are inoperable. Following or during these warnings, the vehicle experiences sudden power/system disruptions, after which the windshield wipers activate automatically on their own, and the turn signals completely stop working. These compounding electrical faults pose a severe safety hazard. Despite manufacturer software recalls issued for instrument panel and electrical system failures (such as Stellantis/FCA Recall Campaign 39D / NHTSA ID 26V262), the software patches have failed to resolve these dangerous operational glitches, and the vehicle continues to malfunction unpredictably.

The vehicle is unsafe; it freezes while driving leaving one unable to navigate in any way. Everything ceases at once - nothing works, you can't put it into P/D/R/N, it won't accellerate or turn off. It just freezes, won't drive, won't turn off, completely locks up either while parked (the safer version) or while driving (completely unsafe, imagine being in a moving vehicle with no control at all?). Please don't ignore this - look at social media where hundreds, if not thousands of people are reporting the same exact event. It has happened to me alone 3x. Jeep claims they have no fix for it yet they aren't recalling the vehicle which is reckless. Please make them accountable and keep our highways safe!

I leased a new 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S (electric) on 11/10/2025. Since taking delivery, the vehicle has repeatedly and unpredictably disabled critical driver-assistance and safety systems while in motion, and has on multiple occasions warned that it would shut down while driving. Specific safety-related incidents: On multiple occasions, the vehicle's forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and Auto Hold have all intermittently and simultaneously disabled themselves while driving, with no warning and no ability to re-enable them except by fully powering the vehicle off and on, or disconnecting the 12V battery. This has occurred repeatedly since November 2025 and continues as of July 2026. On July 10, 2026, the instrument cluster displayed "Vehicle speed may be limited" and "Stop Safely, Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" while I was driving. The vehicle's speed dropped to near zero. I was not near a charging station and the battery was not depleted. I performed a manual 12V battery disconnect myself to restore function and drove the vehicle home, rather than wait for a tow truck, because I was concerned about being stranded. On May 21, 2026, at 6,013 miles, the vehicle displayed a "Service Electric Vehicle System" warning and limited my speed to approximately 5 MPH while driving, with an estimated 205 miles of range remaining and the battery at 70%. I have also experienced at least two complete breakdowns while driving during evening rush-hour traffic (May and June 2026), requiring roadside recovery. The vehicle has been in for dealership service at least 7 times since delivery, with under 5,000 miles on it as of March 2026. One single repair (February 28 – May 27, 2026) kept the vehicle out of service for approximately 79 consecutive days. The selling dealer has confirmed it employs only one technician qualified to service electric vehicles. I have since obtained the vehicle's pre-delivery service history and found that the dealership performed

I recently purchased this vehicle and had possession of it for only three days before it developed a serious braking-related issue. While driving, the ABS warning light illuminated, indicating that the anti-lock braking system required service. At the same time, the vehicle became noticeably more difficult to stop, requiring increased braking distance and significantly earlier brake application than normal. The failed component is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection. The illuminated ABS warning also disabled several advanced driver assistance features, including the collision avoidance and automatic emergency braking systems. As a result, important safety features designed to help prevent or mitigate collisions were unavailable while the warning lights were present. This malfunction created a significant safety risk to me, my passengers, and other motorists. On multiple occasions, the vehicle required substantially more distance to stop, increasing the risk of a rear-end collision, particularly if another driver stopped suddenly or cut in front of my vehicle. Because the collision avoidance and assisted braking systems were also disabled, there was no electronic backup available to help reduce the risk of an accident. The vehicle has been inspected by the selling dealership, where technicians confirmed the problem after the vehicle failed two separate diagnostic tests. The vehicle remains at the dealership awaiting replacement parts and repair. It has now been out of service longer than I have actually been able to drive it since purchasing it. The ABS warning light and related service messages appeared before the braking performance deteriorated. To the best of my knowledge, no crash or injuries occurred, but the defect significantly increased stopping distance and created an unsafe driving condition. Based on the dealer's diagnosis, the issue has been confirmed and is awaiting repair.

The vehicle's automatic emergency braking (AEB) / forward collision avoidance system activates without cause and brings the vehicle to a sudden, complete stop in the middle of an intersection. This has occurred on at least two occasions. In each instance I was making a left turn at a four-way intersection while an oncoming vehicle was also turning left — a common, non-conflicting turn geometry. The system falsely interpreted the opposing left-turning vehicle as an imminent frontal collision, displayed a "crash detected" message, and applied full braking, stopping my vehicle in live cross-traffic in the middle of the intersection. The first occurrence was on XXX, at the intersection of [XXX], while I was turning left from [XXX] [XXX]. The second occurrence was on XXX, at the intersection of [XXX], while turning left from [XXX] onto [XXX]. Both intersections are equipped with dual (two) opposing left-turn lanes, and in each case the false activation occurred as oncoming traffic in the opposing left-turn lanes was simultaneously turning left. This is a serious safety hazard. An unexpected, complete stop in the middle of an active intersection exposes the vehicle to being struck from behind by following traffic and to side-impact (T-bone) collisions from cross-traffic. The braking is abrupt and unanticipated, and no obstacle is actually present in the vehicle's path. No crash or injury has resulted to date. The defect has been reported to the selling/servicing dealer, Larry H. Miller Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram 104th (Thornton, CO), and is the subject of an open Stellantis case, #XXX. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer for this concern. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the forward collision avoidance / automatic emergency braking system on this vehicle and model.
