2020 Jeep Gladiator

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, while starting the vehicle, the contact became aware that the instrument panel was blank. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 82,422.

On or round 11/03/2024 the instrument panel display experienced internal short circuit and all of the cluster gauges stopped displaying information and became blank. As such, the vehicle fail to comply the requirement of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101, "Controls and Displays." Have been setting at the Jeep dealership since 8:30 am, 11/07/2024. Thet say I can not drive the Jeep, and will not replace the cluster gauge until I pay $949.00 to order gauge. A vehicle protection plan I have will replace gauge with a rebuilt one...Have heard no information, when or if this will occur.

IPC Instrument Panel Cluster started on/off in the digital dash screen since Wednesday morning but coming back to my Moms house it went off. I was able to drive my vehicle back, parked. I got stomach sickness until Sunday I went to turned on vehicle and it didn't started. Now it got me confused. Is it the IPC or the batteries? Vehicle opens, locks but didn't started. Plan on calling authorized dealer for Jeep since I changed the battery this past year for shutting off, think like December 2023. Hopefully, it gets resolved but it might been the IPC since a few vehicles including Gladiator model from 2020 was included. NHTSA Recall number 24V652000. Also Manufacturer Recall Number: 30B fyi.

While driving under normal, clear road conditions, my center gauge cluster display went black. I have checked my fuses (both fuses that are assigned to the instrument cluster, both were functioning as designed) and disconnected the negative battery terminal to allow the system to reset with negative results. This puts my vehicle, and others, is an unsafe position because I am unable to tell anything about certain critical vehicle data such as engine temperature, fuel level, mileage, TMPS, etc. I have not taken the vehicle to the dealership yet because I don't feel comfortable driving it. There were no warning lights or problems prior to this issue presenting.
