SVC 4WD light came on, 4WD system overheated. Transmission was damaged, had to pay to rebuild entire transmission, now transfer case is needing a replacement. Got codes C1472-92 and C1477-4B when we ran the scanner. There is a recall out right now for the PTU and transfer case issue but no solution. I need assistance in replacing Transfer Case. Car died out on me in the middle of rush hour traffic on the highway. 2 cars almost hit me but they missed me. Had to wait until the car turned on again and drove straight to the shop.

Component: Power Transfer Unit (PTU). Jeep has issued a recall for the same year and model as my 2019 Cherokee, but my VIN is not included in the recall. However, the power transfer unit is failing as verified by the Jeep dealership. This appears to be a manufacturing defect identical to those listed under the recall. The warning that lead me to take it to the shop said 4WD not available service required. I would like my vehicle to be added to the recall list for this issue. NHTSA campaign number: 25V011.
