THE AUTO STOP FEATURE OF THE GAS PUMP HANDLE DID NOT WORK AT LOW FLOW AND THE GAS SPILLED ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND ONTO THE CONCRETE AREA CREATING A FIRE HAZARD. THE DEALERSHIP HAS SINCE TOLD ME THAT THE CAR MAY HAVE A DEFECTIVE VALVE. THIS PROBLEM GOES BACK TO THE YEAR 2012 AND HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. THIS IS EVIDENCED BY A SIMPLE WEB SEARCH. THE SPILLAGE OF GAS IS A FIRE AND ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD.

FILLED UP THE GAS TANK AND JEEP STARTED STALLING WITH IN THE FIRST MILE OF DRIVING, WAS THINKING IT MIGHT BE THE FUEL CAP SO I TIGHTENED IT AND DROVE THE JEEP FOR A FEW MILES AND EVERYTHING WENT BACK TO NORMAL. NEXT TIME, AFTER ANOTHER FILL UP A MONTH LATER, MY CAR STALLED WHEN I STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN ABOUT A MILE AFTER FILL UP, I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER, AND I CHECKED THE GAS CAP AGAIN TO BE SURE IT WAS TIGHT AND RESTART THE ENGINE, THEN WHILE IN MOTION GOING THRU A TURN AT AN INTERSECTION ABOUT 1/4 OF MILE DOWN THE ROAD, IT TRIED TO STALL AGAIN BUT LUCKILY DIDN'T COMPLETELY SHUT OFF,AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL, AND THE DISPLAY SAID I NEEDED TO PLACE JEEP IN PARK THEN SELECT DRIVE. I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND PLACED THE SHIFTER TO NEUTRAL THEN BACK TO DRIVE. I PROCEEDED DOWN THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE AGAIN SHIFTED IN TO NEUTRAL AND THE DISPLAY STATED THE SAME, TO PLACE IN PARK THEN SELECT DRIVE. THIS ALL HAPPENED WITHIN TWO MILES AFTER FILLING UP. I DROVE IT ANOTHE 60 MILES OR SO AFTER THIS WITH NO PROBLEMS. HAD NO REAL PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS, OTHER THAN THE SHIFTING LAG EVERYONE HAS COMPLAINED ABOUT. ALL RECALLS HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED. NOT SURE IF THIS IS ONE PROBLEM CAUSING THE OTHER OR TWO SEPARATE PROBLEMS.I WILL TEST IT OUT ON A BACK ROAD AND TRY TO GET A PICTURE OF THE DISPLAY IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN AND PLAN A VISIT TO THE DEALER FOR A SERVICE CHECK AFTER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND.

FURTHER FOLLOW UP FROM COMPLAINT 11280438. COMPLAINT - VEHICLE STALLS AFTER FILLING UP. AFTER REPLACEMENT OF VAPOR CANISTER, THEN 2 WEEKS LATER REPLACEMENT OF FUEL TANK, FILLED UP AGAIN (TO CLICK ON PUMP - DID NOT TOP OFF) - CAR STALLED AGAIN. SYMPTOM'S DISSIPATE AFTER ~15 MILES OF DRIVING LIKE BEFORE. DEALER NOW STATES I NEED TO REPLACE MY FUEL PUMP. QUOTE "THIS HAS TO BE IT BECAUSE WE HAVE REPLACED YOUR COMPLETE FUEL SYSTEM WITH IT". IT IS CONCERNING THAT BY FILLING UP TANK, CAR WILL STALL. THIS PAST EVENT WAS WHILE I WAS TRYING TO MERGE ONTO INTERSTATE AND COULD NOT ACCELERATE WHICH LEFT ME IN BETWEEN TWO LANES WHERE THOSE LANES WERE AT HIGHWAY SPEED. WAS ABLE TO LIMP TO THE SHOULDER TO PUT IN PARK AND THEN BACK IN DRIVE (WHAT THE CAR INFORMATION SYSTEM WAS TELLING ME TO DO). MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 5 DIFFERENT TIMES THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER.2 FUEL INJECTOR'S, VAPOR CANISTER AND FUEL TANK - WITH POTENTIAL FUEL PUMP NEXT. I AM DISSATISFIED WITH THIS VEHICLE FOR THIS ON TOP OF MANY BLIND SPOTS IN VEHICLE.

WHEN I FILL MY GAS TANK ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP MY CAR WILL STALL FOR THE FIRST COUPLE MILES. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE GAS TANK IS FILLED ALL THE WAY. VERY UNSAFE AS POWER STEERING ALSO LOCKS.

AFTER FILLING THE TANK, CAR STALLS OR COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN, DURING OPERATION, AFTER TAKING FOOT OF ACCELERATOR, FOR APPROX 15 MILES. DEALER INITIALLY SAID IT WAS WAS VAPOR CANISTER AND REPLACED. NEXT FILL UP AFTER REPLACEMENT, CONTINUED TO STALL AFTER FILL UP. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY CALLED FCA AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS PROBLEMS WITH ROLLOVER VENT VALVE CAUSING IT SO STICK OPEN (CAUSING FUEL TO GET INTO VAPOR SYSTEM. ONLY FIX AT THIS POINT WAS TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK. STALLING INDICATIONS HAPPEN AS SOON AS FOOT IS REMOVED FROM ACCELERATOR (WHETHER COASTING OR WHILE STOPPED. BATTERY LIGHT WILL COME ON AND DASH BOARD WILL ADVISE TO PUT CAR IN PARK AND THEN BACK IN GEAR. SOMETIMES, IT REQUIRES TURNING THE IGNITION AGAIN TO GET CAR MOVING AGAIN. IF COASTING ON INTERSTATE, THIS MAKES FOR A DANGEROUS SITUATION OF CAR NOT RESPONDING TO PICK UP SPEED DURING STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. DOCUMENTATION IS SERVICE TICKETS FOR BOTH VAPOR CANISTER REPLACEMENT AS WELL AS FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT.

ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AFTER I'VE FILLED THE GAS TANK, THE CAR STARTS SPUTTERING AND EVEN STALLING WITHIN 1/4 MILE OF THE GAS STATION, CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS COME ON, AND I GET A WARNING TO STOP AND PUT THE CAR INTO PARK THEN CHOOSE THE GEAR I WANT. AFTER A FEW MILES' DRIVING THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED IN OCTOBER2018 I HAD IT TOWED TO A JEEP SERVICE CENTER, AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A FUEL PUMP PROBLEM (CODE P1DDD), BUT BECAUSE THE SPUTTERING WAS NO LONGER OCCURRING, I REFUSED REPAIR AT THAT TIME. SIX WEEKS LATER ON DEC 4TH 2018 AFTER FILLING THE TANK, IT HAPPENED A SECOND TIME; THE CAR STALLED COMPLETELY AS I WAS MAKING A LEFT-TURN AT AN INTERSECTION IN BUSY LOS ANGELES TRAFFIC, PUTTING ME AT RISK OF A COLLISION. I MANAGED TO PUT THE CAR INTO PARK, THEN DRIVE AND SPUTTERED THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. AGAIN, THE PROBLEM RESOLVED AFTER A FEW MILES' DRIVING TO THE JEEP SERVICE CENTER AND SO I AGAIN REFUSED REPAIR. THE SAME SPUTTERING AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK HAS HAPPENED OCCASIONALLY OVER THIS YEAR. MOST RECENTLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (CEL) CAME ON INTERMITTENTLY A FEW DAYS BEFORE FILLING THE TANK; WHEN THE SPUTTERING/STALLING OCCURRED THIS TIME I RETURNED TO A JEEP SERVICE CENTER, BECAUSE OF THE CEL ALSO BEING ON AROUND THAT TIME. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A FUEL CANISTER PROBLEM CODE (PO456). THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN OBSERVED BY JEEP OWNERS OF MULTIPLE MODELS FOR OVER A DECADE (SEE HTTPS://WWW.CARGURUS.COM/CARS/DISCUSSION-T29898_DS631498) AND IS PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES IN DANGER. FURTHERMORE, FCA IS AWARE OF THIS, AS I SEE THAT FCA STAR CASE S14000002 RELATES TO THIS CONCERN.*DT*JB

AS I APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION AND PUSHED ON THE BREAKS THE CAR STALLED OUT. WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. AFTER RESTARTING THE CAR IT STALLED OUT AGAIN WHEN I TRIED TO BREAK A SECOND TIME. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 4 TIMES. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED, THE CAR STALLED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF A MAIN ROADWAY AS I APPROACHED A RED LIGHT; I WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED. I TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR. ONCE I GOT IT RESTARTED I TRIED TO PUT IT IN GEAR AND THE CAR BUCKET AND STALLED OUT AGAIN. I TRIED A NUMBER OF TIMES TO RESTART THE CAR AND EVENTUALLY GOT IT STARTED. I EVENTUALLY GOT IT INTO GEAR AND STARTED TO DRIVE OFF THE ROADWAY. THE CAR DROVE VERY JITTERY AND WITH LITTLE TO NO POWER. MOST WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH CAME ON - 4WD INOPERABLE; PUT CAR INTO GEAR AND RESTART, SERVICE TRANSMISSION, TRACTION CONTROL PROBLEM, BATTERY PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD IT TO TWO DEALERSHIPS. ONCE SAID IT WAS THE BATTERY; I REPLACED IT. THE OTHER FIRST SAID IT WAS OIL CONSUMPTION WITH THE ENGINE BUT WHEN THAT TURNED OUT NOT TO BE THE CASE THE DEALERSHIP AND CHRYSLER/JEEP ARE TELLING ME THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM DUE TO OVERFILLING THE GAS AND THAT THE ONLY FIX IS NOT TO TOP OFF THE GAS TANK. REALLY? THIS ONLY STARTED AT @ 42,000 MILES. ALSO, I DON'T THINK THE GAS WAS TOPPED OFF EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED. I ALSO LIVE IN A STATE WHERE YOU CANNOT PUMP YOUR OWN GAS SO IF THE GAS STATION PUTS TOO MUCH GAS IN THE CAR STALLS AND CREATES A SAFETY HAZARD? HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH GAS? THERE IS NOTHING IN THE CAR MANUAL. THERE IS NO WARNING IN AND AROUND THE GAS TANK. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM AND CAUSES A VERY DANGEROUS CAR TO OPERATE. THERE EITHER NEEDS TO BE A REAL FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM OR THE CARS NEED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE ROAD. *LN*DT*JB

2014 JEEP CHEROKEE~50K MILES: BOUGHT BRAND NEW FROM DEALERSHIP AND EXCLUSIVELY DEALER MAINTAINED...A YEAR AGO 2 THINGS SPONTANEOUSLY STARTED HAPPENING TO MY JEEP. 1-AS I WOULD SLOW DOWN AND COME TO A STOP MY CAR WOULD SHUT OFF, STALL OUT. 2-AS I WAS DRIVING MY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT WOULD START FLASHING AND THE JEEP WOULD NOT RUN RIGHT. I WOULD PULL OVER, TURN THE CAR OFF, RESET THE ENGINE LIGHT AND THEN I WOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE UNTIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN. SOMETIMES IT WOULD HAPPEN AFTER 5 MILES OF DRIVING, OTHER TIMES I WOULD GO OVER 100 MILES WITHOUT INCIDENT. I HAD APPROXIMATELY 25% REMAINING ON MY OIL LIFE CYCLE-LAST OIL CHANGE LESS THAN 6MONTHS/5000 MILES. I TESTED THE BATTERY AND A FEW THINGS BEFORE I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. DEALER SAID MY OIL LEVEL WAS DANGEROUSLY LOW AND I NEED A FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING. THEY DID AN OIL CHANGE AND FUEL CLEANING, ASKED ME TO COME BACK AFTER DRIVING 1000 MILES FOR AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. THEY SAID THE RESULT OF THE TEST WAS WITHIN NORMAL LIMITS. A YEAR LATER, AGAIN AROUND 20% OIL LIFE REMAINING-LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AND LESS THAN 5000 MILES SINCE LAST OIL CHANGE I AM GETTING THE SAME SYMPTOMS-ALL THREE LIGHTS COMING ON, CAR STALLED ON SEPARATE OCCASION. WILL BE BRINGING BACK TO DEALER THIS WEEK, HOWEVER THIS CAR HAS RECEIVED ALL OIL CHANGES BY DEALER WITHIN THE PROPER TIME AND I TAKE GOOD CARE OF THE CAR- THIS SEEMS A BIT DANGEROUS AND SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. IT AFFECTS MY COMMUTE TO WORK, CHILD CARE, TIME, ETC.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Jeep Cherokee vehicles equipped with a two-speed Power Transfer Unit (PTU). Relative movement in the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) between the differential input splines and the transmission output shaft may cause some input spline teeth to wear off, which may eventually cause a loss of engagement between the transmission and the differential inside the PTU. If this occurs, power cannot be transferred between the front wheels and the transmission which results in a loss of drive while the vehicle is in motion and a loss of the Park function while stationary.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of drive can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. A loss of the Park function can cause unintended vehicle rollaway which can increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: FCA US LLC will notify owners, and dealers will perform a software update that will maintain vehicle propulsion by engaging rear wheel drive and prevent rolling in Park by activating the electronic parking brake if a failed input spline occurs. This recall began July 14, 2020. Owners may contact FCA USA LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is W47.

3PE22009 · Electronic Parking Brake Water Ingress
Opened Jul 22, 2022 · Closed Oct 29, 2023
Status: closed (inferred from source dates) · Parking Brake:electrical; Parking Brake:electrical:control Module
The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened investigation PE22-009 after having received 80 complaints on model years 2014-2020 Jeep Cherokees alleging the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) inadvertently activated while the vehicle was in motion.During this investigation, the subject vehicles were updated to include only Model Years (MY) 2014-2016, while MY 2017-2020 were considered peers.Based on related repair invoices, ODI believed the EPB module was damaged by water leaking into the vehicle. When the EPB inadvertently activates, it can cause a stalling condition bringing the vehicle to a stop. ODI was aware of recall 15V-393 that addresses water ingress affecting the power liftgate module on nearly the same population of vehicles subject of this investigation. The liftgate module can potentially catch fire as a result of the water damage. Both the liftgate and EPB modules are located in a similar area of the vehicle. On May 11, 2016, the manufacturer released a Technical Service Bulleting (ODI #10191415, FCA #08-060-16) that instructs dealers on replacing the EPB module and inspecting the electrical connector for corrosion if a customer describes having the EPB not releasing. This Preliminary Evaluation was opened to assess the scope, frequency, and safety-related consequences of the alleged defect. On September 8th, 2022, ODI sent an information request letter to Fiat Chrysler US LLC (FCA) requesting pertinent information on the subject 2014-2016 Jeep Cherokee and Peer 2017-2020 Jeep Cherokee vehicles. FCA Provided its full response on October 27th, 2022 after ODI granted a one-week extension. ODI has reviewed the information FCA provided as well as new reports submitted to NHTSA’s Vehicle Owner Questionnaire database. Based on a review of all available information, ODI has identified evidence supporting a total of 1,655 subject vehicles that likely experienced a failure of the subject EPB. Within the subject vehicle complaints, ODI identified the 2014 Model Year (MY) Jeep Cherokee as having the highest rate of failure, while also being the oldest group of vehicles in this investigation. The 2014 Jeep Cherokees that likely experienced a failure of the subject EPB represent an incident rate of approximately 0.58%. The average Time In Service (TIS) at failure was 2.6 years and the oldest failure occurred at 8.5 years in service. The 2014 population of vehicles is at 9 years in service. All other MY Jeep Cherokee vehicles (both subject and peer) within this investigation had significantly lower failure rates than the 2014 MY Jeep Cherokee. ODI has reviewed all the information available at this time, and identified four allegations of a crash, three allegations of injuries, and one allegation of a fire. Two of the crash allegations alleged injuries, and the alleged injuries were minor severity. All of the alleged injuries appeared to be consistent with hard braking and did not need medical attention. There was no supporting information that demonstrated a fire had occurred on the vehicle. In its response to ODI, FCA provided its assessment of the alleged defect in the subject vehicles, stating that it does not believe the alleged defect poses an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety. FCA states the majority of incidents involving the EPB inadvertently activating occurred while the vehicle was stationary and that a small number of incidents occurred while the vehicle was backing up or at low speeds. This is consistent with ODI’s observations. Based on the analysis conducted by ODI, this investigation will be closed. The closing of this investigation does not constitute a finding by NHTSA that a safety-related defect does not exist. NHTSA reserves the right take additional actions if warranted by future circumstances. To review the ODI reports cited in the Closing Resume ODI Report Identification Number document, go to NHTSA.gov.

EA21002 · Desiccated Air Bag Inflator Rupture
Opened Sep 17, 2021 · No close date supplied
Status: open (inferred from source dates) · Air Bags:frontal:driver Side:inflator Module; Air Bags:frontal:passenger Side:inflator Module
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 2016 Blomquist Report at www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/documents/expert_report-hrblomquist.pdf.Consequently, all frontal inflators using propellant 2004 that do not contain a "desiccant" (a substance that traps and holds moisture) in US vehicles are under recall. These "non-desiccated" inflators either have been or are required to be replaced. In some cases, the remedy part for these recalled inflators was, or will be, an inflator using either propellant 2004 or 2004L that does contain a desiccant. None of these "desiccated" remedy parts (which were installed in older model year vehicles) are currently under recall for a degradation concern. Certain subsets of desiccated PSAN inflators using propellant 2004 for use as original equipment, however, have been recalled for a degradation concern. All Takata inflators produced with propellant 2004L contain desiccant, and none of these desiccated inflators using propellant 2004L are under recall for a degradation concern. There have been no reported field ruptures in any non-recalled desiccated PSAN inflators. It is understood that desiccants fully saturate at some threshold, at which point any additional moisture will not be captured. This means the degradation process observed in non-desiccated inflators using propellant 2004 may also occur in non-recalled desiccated inflators using propellant 2004, assuming additional moisture enters the inflator and high temperature cycling occurs. Based on available information, desiccant saturation can occur within the first five years in the worst environments, and the time required for full saturation is affected by multiple factors. While no present safety risk has been identified, further work is needed to evaluate the future risk of non-recalled desiccated inflators using propellant 2004.Three entities -- Takata (now known as TK Global), the Independent Testing Coalition, and Exponent -- have been studying the long-term behavior of Takata desiccated PSAN inflators using propellant 2004L (as well as 2004) in the presence of moisture and temperature cycling. The research efforts, which include development of predictive modeling techniques and field sample analysis, are ongoing. To date, none of the researchers have identified field evidence showing that propellant 2004L is undergoing a degradation process that leads to aggressive deployment and potential rupture. However, the time in service of such inflators remains short compared to that of the inflators using propellant 2004. Further study is needed to assess the long-term safety of desiccated inflators using propellant 2004L.The Office of Defects Investigation is opening this investigation to examine whether a safety defect related to propellant degradation exists in non-recalled desiccated PSAN frontal inflators manufactured by Takata. This investigation will require extensive information on Takata production processes and surveys of inflators in the field. Lists of recall actions that may have used desiccated PSAN inflators as remedy parts, as well as the makes and models originally manufactured with them, is available with the downloadable version of this document (see nhtsa.gov/recalls?nhtsaId=EA21002 -- note this information is subject to change/revision as the investigation proceeds). This investigation does not supersede EA15-001, which remains open.

On July 23, 2015, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) launched Safety Recall 15V-461 to remedy security vulnerabilities in approximately 1.4 million model year (MY) 2013 through 2015 vehicles equipped with Uconnect head units (HU) 8.4A (RA3 radio) and 8.4AN (RA4 radio) manufactured by Harman International. On July 24, 2015, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Recall Query, RQ 15-004, to investigate HU security vulnerabilities and remedy effectiveness in the recalled population and to determine whether similar units have been supplied for use in other FCA vehicles. In an August 11, 2015 letter, FCA submitted a second Part 573 safety recall report expanding the scope of the Uconnect RA4 model radio to include additional 7,810 MY 2015 Jeep Renegade vehicles manufactured from September 18, 2014 through June 25, 2015 (Recall 15V-508).Scope analysis indicated that Uconnect radios installed in FCA vehicles not included in recalls 15V-461 or 15V-508 (subject recalls) are not equipped with built-in cellular access or short range wireless communication features and, thus, do not contain the security vulnerabilities addressed by the subject recalls. SUBJECT VEHICLES: MY2014 through 2015 Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Cherokee sport utility vehicles; MY2013 through 2015 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 and 4500/5500 pickup trucks; MY2013 through 2015 Dodge Viper vehicles; and MY2015 Chrysler 200, 300, Jeep Renegade, Dodge Charger and Challenger vehicles.According to FCA, long and short range wireless vulnerabilities identified in the recalled vehicles could allow unauthorized third-party access to, and manipulation of, networked vehicle control systems.Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities, coupled with reverse engineering of networked microprocessor control modules, could result in unauthorized manipulation of vehicle control systems. This unauthorized manipulation of vehicle controls and systems could expose the driver, vehicle occupants or other highway users to an increased risk of injury.FCA and its network provider, Sprint, conducted a nationwide campaign to block access to a radio communications port that was unintentionally left open.On July 27, 2015, short range wireless vulnerabilities were also blocked. Finally, third party security evaluation and regression testing identified vulnerabilities that were either remedied by Sprint or through updates to the FCA Uconnect software.ODI identified a total of 30 complaints or field reports on unique vehicles submitted by FCA (29) or received by NHTSA (1) alleging incidents of theft from a vehicle or anomalous performance that the owner alleged were caused by, or may have been caused by, remote hacking.Twenty-six (87%) of these reports were submitted after a magazine article was published on July 21, 2015, describing the remote hacking of an FCA vehicle by researchers who were able to affect the operation of various vehicle control systems, including the service brakes, steering, throttle and ignition. Most of the complaints involved vehicle systems that were not safety critical (e.g., complaints related to radio, navigation system, or air-conditioning control) and did not affect vehicle control.Three complaints reported engine stalls. One owner reported sudden unintended acceleration allegedly related to hacking.None of the complaints or field reports reviewed involved the steering and braking vehicle control effects demonstrated by the research hackers prior to the recall. There were no confirmed incidents of hacking in any of the records reviewed by ODI.The remedies completed by Sprint and FCA appear to have eliminated vulnerabilities that mi
