CAR WILL STOP ACCELERATING WITH NO WARNINGS THEN WILL START BACK MOVE WHEN YOU LET THE SIT FOR AND HOUR. ENGINE LIGHT WILL NOT LIGHT UP WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED SO THE PROBLEM CAN NOT BE DIAGNOSED UNTIL THE ENGINE COME ON. HOWEVER WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT DOES COME YOU CAN TAKE TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY WILL TELL THAT THE TRANSMISSION SPEED SENSORS NEED TO BE REPLACED IN WHICH THE SENSOR IS LOCATED INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION AND IN CONJUNCTION TO THAT IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE VALVE BODY SHOULD BE REPLACED ALSO. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH A LOT OF THE INFINITI'S WITH YEARS RANGING FROM 2014-2019 WITH 3.7 LITER ENGINE. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE RESOLVED BECAUSE THE CAR CAN SUDDENLY STOP MOVE AT HIGH SPEEDS AND CAUSE AND ACCIDENT. PLEASE TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THIS RECALL AAMCO TRANSMISSION HAVE HAD HUNDREDS OF INFINITI'S WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY CAN NOT REPAIR SO THEY WILL SEND YOU TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS IN WHICH IT WILL COST THE CONSUMER 3,000 PLUS TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND THEY WILL RECOMMEND THAT YOU SHOULD GET THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED INSTEAD OF REPAIRING IT AND MOST OF THE VEHICLES ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH LOW MILEAGE. Jun 21, 2024

Nissan North America, Inc. (INFINITI) is recalling certain 2011-2013 M56, 2012-2013 M35 Hybrid, 2014-2018 Q50, Q70 Hybrid, 2014-2019 Q70, and 2015-2019 Q70L two-wheel drive vehicles. The driveshaft can fatigue and break.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A broken driveshaft can result in a loss of drive power, or a vehicle roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the driveshaft, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 13, 2024. Owners may contact INFINITI's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. INFINITI's numbers for this recall are R24A5 and R24A7.
