I NOTICED A CONTINUOUS GRINDING SOUND WHILE DRIVING THAT WAS COMING FROM SOMEWHERE. LOWERED MY WINDOWS AND DETERMINED THE SOUND WAS COMING FROM THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL. UPON INSPECTION THE BRAKE PAD WAS CRACKED INTO 2 PIECES AND JAMMED ONTO THE ROTOR. MADE AN IMMEDIATE REPAIR OF ALL BRAKE PADS ON THE CAR BUT PROBLEM PERSISTS. NEW B…

NEW BRAKE PAD STILL MAKES CONTINUOUS CONTACT WITH THE ROTOR WHILE DRIVING AND NOISE GETS WORSE WITH BRAKING. THIS IS NOW CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SLIGHTLY PULL TO THE LEFT AT ALL TIMES.

Service Brakes

FRONT BRAKE CALIPER CAME APART WHILE DRIVING. IT WAS NO LONGER OVER THE ROTOR OR PAD. TWO CALIPER BOLTS MISSING FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN I HEARD THIS TAPPING SOUND. IT WAS THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER HITTING THE INNER WHEEEL.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Infiniti Q50 and 2017 Infiniti Q60 vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine. Incorrect Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) software may allow the fuel level in the main tank to be too low to supply fuel to the engine, causing the engine to stall while driving.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and Infiniti dealers will reprogram the Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) with corrected software, free of charge. The recall began August 29, 2017. Owners may contact Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
