Have had the 2025 model for 4 months now. Absolutely love everything about it except the driver attention system. I leased this car and honestly if I can't figure out a solution there is no way I'm buying it at the end of the lease. I'm 6'1". I don't know what it is about how I have the seat/wheel situated but I get constant nags about "take a break" or "take control of the vehicle". My hands are literally at 10/2 and I'm staring into the sensor and it's still yelling at me. Today I thought the car was literally going to shut off thinking that I feel asleep or something. I also wear glasses if that has any effect on this system

12v battery failure at 1 year mark. No warning or screen messages. Car was completely dead when walking up. Could have been stranded if not at home. Luckily it occurred in my garage and doors unlocked. Had to jump start to drive to dealership. Confirmed 12v battery had a bad cell and replaced.

Leaving our home garage a loud popping sound was heard and dashboard warning signals came on indicating battery failure. Dealer confirmed the ICCU failed.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025 Ioniq 5 and 2026 Ioniq 9 vehicles. The fasteners for the rear suspension may loosen and detach, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the rear suspension fasteners and perform a rear vehicle alignment, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 17, 2026. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 303. The right-side headlight may have an incorrect headlight aim label, which can result in improperly aimed headlights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Improperly aimed headlights can result in insufficient illumination of the road, decreasing the driver's visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 "N" vehicles equipped with left-foot braking (LFB) and N e-shift features. The integrated electronic brake (IEB) and vehicle control unit (VCU) software may cause reduced braking performance when LFB is activated. Additionally, the vehicle may continue to accelerate after the pedal is released and the vehicle's N e-shift feature is engaged.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Reduced braking performance and unexpected, continued acceleration increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to use the LFB or N e-Shift features until the remedy has been performed. The IEB and VCU software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge.
