837 reportsThe car had an error with a front safety camera, the car stopped in the middle of an intersection and I had to coast into the nearest parking lot. The error cleared it self but Honda was of no help. The dealers do not know how to fix the cars.
On a cold day the vehicle's baking system failed. It was would not move more than 62MPH and would not function. When dealer was contacted no assistance was given until Honda Corporation got involved. The problem cleared up on its own and I was advised that it should be fine at this point.
Whenever it gets cold, the car will being to experience brake systems failure, it was suddenly only go 62MPH. On this particular occasion, the car died in the middle of the street, thus blocking the street and causing a police response. Whenever it gets cold, the car will being to experience brake systems failure, it was suddenly only go 62MPH. On this particular occasion, the car died in the middle of the street, thus blocking the street and causing a police response. Contacted Honda Support and they advised it would be up to 2 hours to get it towed out of there. Police called their own tow truck, the tow trucks had issues with it not going into Transport Mode and stuck parking break. It was brought to the dealer for repair. I believe the car is not safe because there has been several failures of this nature during the cold and other general system failures that appear to be computer related. More than likely police information item is on file.

I received an update from the service coordinator that car is having an issue with the AC system and Honda is aware of this issue but there is no ETA on/or how to fix it.
I have 9,500 miles on my car and within the last week every time I make a turn (either direction) there is a very loud clicking/grinding noise coming from the CV Axel. I have 9,500 miles on my car and within the last week every time I make a turn (either direction) there is a very loud clicking/grinding noise coming from the CV Axel. I’ve noticed it’s a common theme for Prologues & have been told it’s safe to drive but there are currently no remedies for this problem. It makes mes very nervous that it is going to turn into something worse soon.
My sunroof has a constant issue when i fully open it and then try to close it. When I tried to close it the sunroof does close, but it immediately opens back up by itself. It takes me 5 to 10 tries to try to close it back up once it closes and you open it back up it does it again and it reopens by itself.

Safety issue 1 Automatic collision breaking is too sensitive when going in reverse. The vehicle locked up the brakes several times when I was trying to reverse causing myself and my family‘s heads to snap back suddenly. Safety issue 2 -knocking sound coming from the CV joint when backing up and turning at the same time. This usually happens when it’s cold outside. This is a safety issue because if the CV joint fails, this could cause loss of control of the vehicle while driving.
For the second time in 7 months since I’ve owned the car, I need to get it serviced for an error on the panel names “System Voltage Error”. As a result, the car can’t be charged (EV), the heating doesn’t work in the middle of winter, and acceleration is reduced.

American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Honda Prologue and 2024 Acura ZDX vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are DO5 and RO6. The information in your report suggests that Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) may have been aware of this issue more than five business days before filing a report with NHTSA. Please be reminded that under Federal law, this agency is to be notified of all safety defect and/or noncompliance decisions within five business days. 49 CFR 573.6 Significant civil penalties can be assessed for this violation.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Control and Displays," 111, "Rear Visibility," and 305, "Electric-Powered Vehicles."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, the loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle radio control module software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 22, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A right front lower control arm fracture can cause loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the right front lower control arm as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 3, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is PIY.
