UNKNOWN- car makes loud knocking sounds when turning right or left. Not sure what it could be but I read other people say it’s an axle issue. Took car to Honda, they inspected car and said it was fine and cannot figure out why the sound is occurring, but did say all prologues have this knocking sound when turning. Honda is currently investigating why this is happening and as of now, my dealership said the car is safe to drive even though I hear the sound daily and it makes me nervous. I use this car daily to drive my kids to school and myself to work and it is the only car I have but it is worrisome.
When accelerating while turning the steering wheel either right or left, I hear a clicking sound in the front of the vehicle. I reported it to a dealer 7 days ago (on 1/13/2025), but I still have not heard back.

When turning the wheel there is Clicking sounds. Something is definitely wrong with this car.
Left front clicking when turning the wheel to the left. Happens when reversing as well. Sounds like the CV joint needs replacement. Vehicle has less than 1000 miles on it.
CV Axles are making a loud clicking noise while turning the steering wheel to the left or right. It has progressively gotten worse as time passes.
When accelerating while turning right or left from a stop, there is a loud knocking sound from both sides in the front suspension. The sound is more severe with harder acceleration.
When turning left or right at low speeds, I hear loud clicking noises. It is available for inspection. I'm not sure if this is a safety issue. When turning left or right at low speeds, I hear loud clicking noises. It is available for inspection. I'm not sure if this is a safety issue. There were no warning lamps or other messages prior to the issue. The symptom first appeared around 2500 miles on the odometer. I read on the forums that it could be related to the CV joints, so took it to my dealership and let them know. They did not document that I said CV joints, but did write down that there was a clicking noise. They kept my vehicle for three days, said they contacted Honda, replaced the axel using an axel from another new car on the lot, and the same noise was there. They said that it was not a safety issue, and that they would notify me when a fix was available.

American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Honda Prologue and 2024 Acura ZDX vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are DO5 and RO6. The information in your report suggests that Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) may have been aware of this issue more than five business days before filing a report with NHTSA. Please be reminded that under Federal law, this agency is to be notified of all safety defect and/or noncompliance decisions within five business days. 49 CFR 573.6 Significant civil penalties can be assessed for this violation.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2024 Acura ZDX and Prologue vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. Additionally, a software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Control and Displays," 111, "Rear Visibility," and 305, "Electric-Powered Vehicles."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, the loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle radio control module software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 22, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are TNL and XNK. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning March 4, 2026.

Consequence: A right front lower control arm fracture can cause loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
