260 reportsSteering & front axle make loud clicking noise when turning, Honda is aware of the problem and that the problem gets worse over time but I am worried about steering/suspension failing before Honda has a fix available.
The car makes a clicking noise when I turn. It is brand new with only 1100 miles on it. The noise started within the last few weeks. While the dealer claimed the car is safe to drive, I am concerned a part may fail while I am on the road.
when turn i hear a clicking sound dealer technician acknowledges sound but refuses to repair. forward collision system sees things that are not there and slams on the brakes for no reason. hvac system fails to heat until after driving for at least 45 minutes even after pre heating.

Steering: The vehicle is experiencing clicking noises as it turns while exiting downward sloped driveways. Issues with the Steering and loss of steering could cause an accident while pulling out of a driveway or making a turn. The vehicle has not been inspected for this issue. There were no warning lamps or messages for this issue. Body: The Trunk door has been opening without personal operation. When getting into the vehicle notification will be given that the trunk is open. Upon attempting to close the door it is stuck in a half open half closed position that will not let it lock back in. This is dangerous as the door opening without intention could cause an accident, could cause items in the back of the car to fall out while in motion, or could cause additional damage to the car itself. The car is currently at the dealer being reviewed.
CLICKING IN CV JOINTS
CV drive shaft axels are bad from factory and make a clicking sound while driving, making sharp turns, or backing out of parking space. Honda says replacement part are on back order for over 1 month.
At approximately 400 miles of use on a new car I noticed clicking from the front steering axle when turning at low speeds. Service center at Honda daily reported this is a known issue with the.CV joint in the staring mechanism, but does not have parts for repair or replacement available.
When turning to the right from a stopped position there is clicking noise coming from the right front CV joint.
CV joint is making a clicking noise when turning. The dealership, Shottenkirk Honda of Cartersville, Ga. was able to duplicate the issue. They told me I need to wait until the part comes in and I was not given an ETA.

American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Honda Prologue and 2024 Acura ZDX vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are DO5 and RO6. The information in your report suggests that Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) may have been aware of this issue more than five business days before filing a report with NHTSA. Please be reminded that under Federal law, this agency is to be notified of all safety defect and/or noncompliance decisions within five business days. 49 CFR 573.6 Significant civil penalties can be assessed for this violation.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Control and Displays," 111, "Rear Visibility," and 305, "Electric-Powered Vehicles."

Consequence: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, the loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
