I HAVE A 1995 HONDA PASSPORT WITH A NOTICABLE CLICKING OR TICKING NOISE IN THE ENGINE. I HAVE DONE EXAUSTIVE RESEARCH WITH OTHER OWNERS THROUGH THE INTERNET. I BELIEVE A RECALL SHOULD BE APPLIED TO THIS ENGINE DEFECT. THERE ARE SIMPLY TOO MANY OTHER PASSPORT DRIVERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. AT THIS TIME I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A BULLETIN FROM HONDA ABOUT THE CLICKING BUT NO RECALL. I AM FORTY YEARS OLD AND HAVE NEVER HAD TO ISSUE A COMPLAINT LIKE THIS. I JUST HAVE A TRUE GUT FEELING THAT THIS DEFECT IS FOR REAL. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER SUCH NOTICES FROM CONSUMERS. MOST I ASSUME DO NOT REALIZE THE NHTSA IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS PURPOSE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I AM GOING TO GET SOME RELIEF ON THIS MATTER. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. RESPECTFULLY, CLIFTON DAVIS

THE LEFT REAR DOOR LOCK DOES NOT UNLOCK WITH THE OTHER DOORS; IT COMES UP HALFWAY BUT DOES NOT ALLOW OUTSIDE ENTRY. IT IS NECESSARY TO PULL UP THE INSIDE DOOR LOCK ALL THE WAY TO ALLOW ACESS FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM (ACTIVATED BY THE DRIVER'S DOOR) ACTIVATES BOTH RIGHT SIDE DOORS BUT NOT THE LEFT REAR DOOR. ALSO, THE ENGINE CANNOT BE STARTED ON THE FIRST TRY. THE STARTER ENGAGES BUT THE ENGINE DOES NOT FIRE. ON THE SECOND TRY, HOWEVER, THE ENGINE WILL START. ALL MY OTHER VEHICLES START WITH "ONE CLICK"; REQUIRING ONLY MINIMAL CRANKING. THE ENGINE, A 3.2 LITER V-6, MAKES A CLICKING SOUND WHEN RUNNING; ALMOST LIKE A SUBDUED DIESEL ENGINE. *AK
