IT'S BEEN A MONTH SINCE ALAMO CITY HARLEY DAVIDSON SAID THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT THIS CONSUMER WHEN THE PARTS ARRIVED, THE CONSUMER HAS NOT RECEIVED A CALL. *AK CONSUMER STATES HE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND HAD TO CALL 3 TIMES IN WHICH HE WAS THEN PUT ON A LIST.*JB

THE FUEL INLET NEEDLE DOES NOT SEAL PROPERLY AGAINST THE FUEL INLET SEAT.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THE FUEL OVERFLOW SYSTEM ALLOWS FUEL TO LEAK ONTO THEGROUND, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FIRE IF EXPOSED TO A SOURCE OF IGNITION.

Remedy: REPLACE THE FUEL INLET NEEDLE.

92V125000 · Electrical SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V Battery:cables

THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLES INSTALLED AS PART OF HARLEY- DAVIDSON'S PREVIOUS RECALL 077 (NHTSA RECALL 92V011000) CAN FAIL IN SERVICE.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: FAILURE OF THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE RESULTS IN LOSS OFELECTRICAL SYSTEM FUNCTIONS OF IGNITION, LIGHTS, AND ACCESSORIES.

Remedy: INSTALL NEW REPLACEMENT BATTERY CABLES.

THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE CAN CHAFE BECAUSE OF ITS PROXIMITY TO THE OIL TANK, CAUSING A SHORT CIRCUIT IF THE CABLE SHOULD GROUND.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THE HEAT FROM A SHORT CIRCUIT COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLEFIRE.

Remedy: REPLACE THE POSTIVE BATTERY CABLE.
