THE VEHICLE WAS COLD AND DRIVEN APPROX 1/2 MILE TO STOP LIGHT FROM HOME. I WAS LIGHTLY STEPPING ON THE BRAKE WAITING FOR A LIGHT TO TURN GREEN AND ALL OF A SUDDEN A BRIEF SURGE WHICH CAUSED ME TO HIT THE BRAKE HARDER AND THEN THE SURGE STOPPED. I COULD SEE THE TACH GO UP AS IF I HAD HIT THE ACCELERATOR. IN MY OPINION THIS SUDDEN ACCELERATION IS A COMPUTER ISSUE AND NOT A TOYOTA, FORD OR GMC ISSUE. WHO MANUFACTURES THE COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FOR THESE VEHICLES? IN MY CASE I JUST IGNORED IT BECAUSE NOTHING BAD HAPPENED BUT I THOUGHT THE NHTSA SHOULD KNOW. I HAVE NOT HAD THE PROBLEM SINCE. *TR
