GMC ISSUED A RECALL ON THE 1996 GMC ENVOY DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR CONSOLE WHICH OPERATES THE LOCKS AND WINDOWS WHICH CAN BURN OUT OR CAUSE FIRE. MY ENVOY DID THE SAME THING, SO OF COURSE I HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED. I CALLED GM AFTER IT HAPPENED AND WAS TOLD IT WAS AN "ISOLATED INCIDENT". I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN UNTIL …

MY ENVOY DID THE SAME THING, SO OF COURSE I HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED. I CALLED GM AFTER IT HAPPENED AND WAS TOLD IT WAS AN "ISOLATED INCIDENT". I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN UNTIL MY MECHANIC TOLD ME ABOUT THE RECALL. I CALLED AND THEY SAID MY VIN NUMBER WASN'T INCLUDED IN THEIR RECALL. I LIVE IN UPSTATE NY, I HAVE THE BURNT CONSOLE ( FOR PROOF OF THIS FAULTY PART (ALONG WITH THEIR FAULTY SPARE TIRE HOIST WHICH WAS ANOTHER $400 PLUS, WHICH IS ANOTHER EMAIL FOR YOU). ALL I KNOW IS I'M OUT $491.25 FOR THE CONSOLE. GET ME ON THIS RECALL LIST! *TR
