WHEN SHIFTING TO PARK AND SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF MESSAGE DISPLAYS SHIFT TO PARK. I HAVE HAD THE SHIFTER CABLE REPLACED AND 3 MONTHS LATER IT IS DOING IT AGAIN. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS ANOTHER ISSUE BUT GM CANNOT FIGURE THE ISSUE OUT.

WHEN I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE, I GET AN ALERT "ACTION REQUIRED SHIFT TO PARK" AND THE VEHICLE IS ALREADY IN PARK. THIS STARTED WHEN I HAD APPROXIMATELY 35,900 MILES ON THE VEHICLE BUT BY THE TIME I GOT AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER, I WAS OVER 36,000 MILES SO THEY SAY IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY ANYMORE. I GOOGLED THE PROBLEM AND THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING, BUT GMC STILL HASN'T INITIATED ANY KIND OF RECALL WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM THAT I'M SURE THEY KNOW ABOUT.
