The contact owns a 2019 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving and reversing at an undisclosed speed, the park-aid fault, and pre-collision assists were not available, and another unknown message was displayed. Additionally, the rear-view camera was inoperable while reversing. The gear indicator failed to display on the instrument panel. The rev-matching feature was also inoperable while downshifting. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V382000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had previously been repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V382000 (Power Train). The failure recurred, and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The dealer determined that the clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.

The backup camera often is not available, or the screen is badly distorted, cuts in and out, or image looks like ghost. There was a recall for 2015 to 2018 Mustang, but my 2019 Mustang EcoBoost Convertible Premium does the exact same thing as the 2015 to 2018 Mustang. I took it to the dealer for repairs, and was told that it is not covered by the recall. I tried to fix the problem myself, but it still happens at times.
Backup camera is having issues. Fuzzy picture and occasionally says unavailable on display.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed for approximately 15 minutes, the rear-view camera, traction control, Forward Collision Avoidance and Blind Spot Detection became inoperable. There was a beeping sound detected. The contact stated that the check engine, Blind Spot Detection, Hill Start Assist, Back Over Prevention camera, and gear selector warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the failures were confirmed, but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V382000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was contacted and referred him to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was 3,700.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 Ford Mustang, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 19V076. At vehicle start-up, the Instrument Panel Cluster Assembly (IPC) may not function, showing a blank display. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A blank instrument cluster that fails to display critical safety information, such as vehicle speed or safety system warnings, increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the Instrument Panel Cluster Assembly (IPC) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 13, 2026. Owners may contact customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26C27. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 6, 2026.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-350 SD, F-250 SD, F-450 SD, 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, 2015-2018 Edge, Transit Connect, 2016-2019 F-550 SD, Transit, 2017-2019 Econoline, and 2019 Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted, or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2026. Ford owners will receive letters in phases, beginning January 2026 and June 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S89. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V270. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning September 8, 2025.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Transit Connect, 2019-2020 MKZ, MKX, Edge, Continental, F-150, Nautilus, Fusion, 2019-2023 Ranger, Mustang, 2020-2021 EcoSport, Expedition, Navigator, 2020-2022 Escape, F-250 SD, Corsair, 2020-2023 Aviator, Transit, 2020-2024 Explorer, 2021-2024 Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank image, or the image may remain on the display after the backing event has ended.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview camera that displays a blank image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. A rearview image that continues to be displayed after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse may distract the driver. Both of these situations can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the rearview camera software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 4, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S72.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Mustang vehicles equipped with 5.0L engines and manual transmissions. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) may broadcast an unintended faulted signal to the modules controlling the reverse camera, reverse light, and driver assist features, which may disable all of these functions.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview camera or reverse light that is disabled reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash. Disabled driver assist features (traction control, forward collision warning, blind spot warning, cross traffic indicator) may increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the PCM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 15, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S37.

Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the instrument cluster, free of charge. The recall began May 26, 2020. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 20S21.
