The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 MPH in heavy rain, the windshield wipers were activated however, the driver’s side wiper arm failed to raise up high enough to clear the driver’s side windshield. The contact stated that that the wiper arm was going back to the start position with force. The contact stated that the wiper arm was striking the bottom of the windshield with a loud cracking sound. The contact stated that the driver's side wiper arm was also impeding the function of the passenger side wiper arm. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V250000 (Visibility). The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.

My truck since new would not go into drive or reverse sometimes it's under warranty, I took it to the ford dealer and they were able see the problem but stated in writing that nothing needs to be done just wait for it to engage the gear when I'm ready to drive the truck.
