2020 Ford Ecosport

My car had a low oil pressure warning shortly after 60,000 miles. Shortly after, my check engine light also went on. I took my car to a Ford Dealership where they acknowledged this is a problem with the Ford Ecosport. The dealer told me that my entire engine needs replaced and it will be $6,800. Without compassion told me "there are 3 more ecosports in the back getting engines". When I inquired about the recent recall I was told they don't have to fix anything free of charge because the recall technically is not in effect. This happened on January 18th, 2024. My concerns: 1. Dealers are being unreasonable. 2. I was driving my child in this car since 2020. Ford has known since 2021 that there is a safety issue. But because no one actually died it's OK? I know the recall is coming. But I want to add my name to the list of customers who were given faulty cars that Ford knew were unsafe.

The contact stated that while his wife was driving 70 MPH, the oil pressure warning light illuminated. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and was turned off. The vehicle was towed to the residence and then towed to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

The oxygen sensors have been replaced two times but keep getting a signal about them. Engine light stays on. Keep getting different codes about exhaust levels that are triggering different functions. I was stopped at a light and smelled gas briefly. Went to a store and came back to the car with engine light on. Got a oil change and had spark plugs replaced but still nothing was fixed

The contact stated that the vehicle lost motive power and the contact was able to pull into her driveway. The contact engaged the electric parking brake and parked the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the oil pump belt was fractured, and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V905000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 63,714.

Low oil pressure warning on dash, engine lost power while driving. Vehicle stalled and would not restart. Oil level was good. Towed to shop and was informed of an oil pump drive belt failure causing internal engine damage and turbocharger failure. No warning lights prior to incident. I am the technician filing this for our customer.

MY 2020 FORD ECOSPORT shows the engine symbol and the maintenance symbol and every so often my car wouldnt have power or it would just shut off while im in park while inside the vehicle. at first i thought it was a battery issue so i fully recharged my battery and than less than a month later im experiencing the same issue. i looked online and there is countless claims all stating similar issues like mine. my car has around 35k miles on it. i would greatly appreciated some more knowledge on the situation
