The contact stated that while driving approximately 75-80 MPH, the “Low Oil” warning light illuminated, and there was a sudden loss of power. The contact was able to drive 5 MPH to the nearest exit, and located a local oil service shop, where a mechanic inspected the vehicle and determined that the engine had failed. The vehicle was towed from the mechanic to the dealer, who confirmed that parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
