TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED 6 TIMES, CONSUMER IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE 6TH TRANSMISSION THAT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. ABS LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED AND THE FRONT END SHAKES WHILE BRAKING. VEHICLE STALLED ON FREEWAY, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, FAN BELT WAS REPLACED. HEAT WAS COMING FROM REAR AIR CONDITIONER WITH FRONT AIR CONDITIONER ON, DEALER REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE DOOR MOTOR. REAR DOOR INTERMITTENTLY WON'T UNLOCK. REGULATOR/ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED. CONSUMER IS REQUESTING A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE. *SLC STEERING WHEEL MAKES SQUEAKING NOSIE. THERE IS TIRE NOISE AT 25MPH. CONSUMER COULD SMELL OIL FROM THE INSIDE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT, RADIATOR WAS ALSO REPLACED. *SLC
THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM HAS BEEN REBUILT TO GET THE LIGHT TO GO OFF. WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED AT 35MHP THERE IS AN STRONG VIBRATION IN THE VEHICLE. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK

DRIVING HOME IN THE RAIN, WENT TO APPLY THE BRAKES (ABS), THEY FAILED TO CATCH, VEHICLE WENT INTO SPIN ACROSS 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC, WAS HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. *K

ON CERTAIN TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH SPEED CONTROL, GASOLINE OR NATURAL GAS ENGINES, THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY OVERHEAT.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: OVERHEATING COULD RESULT IN SMOKE OR BURN AND AN UNDERHOOD FIRE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A FUSED WIRING HARNESS INTO THE SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 7, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD AT 1-866-436-7332. (NOTE: ALSO SEE RECALLS 05V017 AND 05V388)
