STOCK FUEL FILTER LEAKING GAS! CALL FOR REPLACEMENT AND WAS TOLD TO GET RID OF THE FILTER AND REPLACE WITH A FITTING, BECAUSE "THAT FILTER IS A FIRE HAZARD." THIS GENERATOR IS THE 5500 GOLD THAT IS INSTALLED IN MANY RVS, AND IS MADE BY CUMMINGS. THE CUMMINGS DEALER IS SLC, UT IS THE ONE THAT TOLD ME ABOUT THE FIRE HAZARD. I …

I WAS LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND THE LEAK BEFORE THE UNIT CAUGHT FIRE WITH MY FAMILY IN IT. THE MANUAL RECOMMENDS USING THE GENERATOR WHILE DRIVING. I FEEL CUMMINGS SHOULD RECALL THESE UNITS AND FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED! *TR
