THE REAR MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED DURING A SERVICE BULLETIN NOTICE. THE BRAKE WOULD FADE THEN FAIL. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES EVEN AFTER THE BRAKE FLUID WAS REPLACED AT THE DEALER. THE BRAKE WOULD WORK PROPERLY FOR A FEW HUNDRED MILES, FADE, THEN FAIL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION AND AFFECTS VIRTUALLY ALL DUCATI MULTI STRADA MOTORCYCLES MANUFACTURED FROM 2011-2014. THE MOTORCYCLE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND A PERMANENT FIX IMPLEMENTED.

THE BRAKE FLUID IN THE RESERVOIR HEATS UP BECAUSE OF ITS LOCATION NEAR THE EXHAUST PIPE AND CHEMICALLY BREAKS DOWN CAUSING FADING AND FAILURE OF THE BRAKE.
