DRIVING AROUND LOCAL STREETS, BRAKE PEDAL BEGAN SINKING TO THE FLOOR OF THE CAR. THERE WAS A SLIGHT BRAKING WHEN IT REACHED THE FLOOR SO I WAS ABLE TO SLOW AND STOP THE CAR. THINKING THE FLUID WAS LOW, I DROVE SLOWLY HOME AND ADDED BRAKE FLUID. I PUMPED THE BRAKE PEDAL A FEW TIMES BUT IT NEVER CAME BACK TO FEEL LIKE SOLID BRAKIN…

OUTSIDE THE CAR I NOTICED BRAKE FLUID LEAKING OUT FROM ABOVE THE GAS TANK ONTO THE DRIVEWAY. MY BRAKE LINES HAD RUSTED THROUGH AND I NOW HAVE TO HAVE THEM FIXED. FUNNY, I HAVE A 1948 PLYMOUTH SITTING IN MY BACK YARD, AND THE ORIGINAL BRAKE LINES ARE STILL INTACT! *TR
