BRAKE PEDAL BECAME VERY HARD TO PRESS AND WOULDNT STOP THE VEHICLE, NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THE SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD THE CODE PULLED BY A LOCAL GARAGE. THE CODE SAID THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP HAD FAILED. VEHICLE ON HAS 60000 MILES.

I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE TWICE WITH MY 2017 SUBURBAN PREMIER 40K MILES WHILE AT THE BOAT RAMP WHERE THE BRAKE PEDAL GIVES OUT A BIT AND I HAVE HAD TO PUMP THE PEDAL DOWN HARD THEN APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AS A BACKUP. I HAVE A SMALL BOAT WHICH IS WHY I AM CONCERNED IT MAY BE A BRAKE MALFUNCTION. HAVEN'T HAD AN ISSUE WHILE ON THE ROAD YET BUT BOTH TIMES IN AN INCLINE BOAT RAMP. AFTER READING SEVERAL SIMILAR ISSUES LIKE MINE ON THE WEB I WILL BE CALLING GM CUSTOMERS SERVICE AND HAVING MY BRAKE SYSTEM CHECKED AGAIN.

AIR CONDITIONER FAILURE. LEAK CAUSING ALL REFRIGERANT TO LEAK OUT. APPARENTLY, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS MODEL AND YEAR. CAR HAS 49K MILES AND IS OUT OF WARRANTY ON MILES EVEN THOUGH IT IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD. JUST LEAKED OUT RAPIDLY. BLOWING HOT AIR. NOT REALLY DRIVEABLE WITH 3 CHILDREN.

I WAS ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY RECREATE THE EVENT SO I DROVE STRAIGHT TO CHEVY DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS INTERNAL FAILURE OF THE BRAKING VACUUM PUMP. I HAVE NEVER IN ANY OTHER VEHICLE HAD THAT ISSUE AND THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW SO I BELIEVE IT SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THAT ISSUE AT JUST 2 YEARS OLD. THIS WAS ALSO NOT A CHEAP FIX AND AM FRUSTRATED THAT IT HAS BEEN REPORTED AS COMMON AMONG CHEVY CARS RECENTLY. THESE VACUUM PUMPS ARE OVER AND OVER AGAIN MALFUNCTIONING FOR CHEVY OWNERS AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED IT SEEMS TO AVOID ACCIDENTS AND UNNECESSARY DAMAGE

HI I?M NOT SURE IF THIS WILL EVER BE READ BUT THIS WEEK WHILE TRAVELING ACROSS THE US (IN A BLIZZARD) IN MY 2017 CHEVY SUBURBAN THE VACUUM PUMP ON MY BRAKE ASSIST WENT OUT AND LEFT ME WITH VERY LITTLE BRAKES I WAS LUCKILY ENOUGH TO GET IT TO A DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY REPLACED THE VACUUM PUMP ALONG WITH THE BELT THAT BROKEN BECAUSE OF IT. THEY DID SAY IT WAS A BAD DESIGN AND WOULD MOST LIKELY GO OUT AGAIN. I HAVE 4 CHILDREN WHO ARE IN THE CAR WITH ME AT ALL TIMES. I LOOKED ONLINE AND THERE IS NOT A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE YET BUT I READ THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES I SAVED MY RECEIPTS AND I AM HONESTLY SCARED TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE MY FAMILY AROUND IN MY CAR. I HOPE TO GET SOME KIND OF A REPLY WITH SOME DIRECTION TO TAKE TO GET THIS FIXED. THANK YOU [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).' *PM

THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON WHEN DRIVING. ISSUES WITH AIRBAG WIRING UNDER SEAT. WIRING HARNESS IS ON BACK ORDER MEANING THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. GM SHOULD BE RECALLING AND TAKING CARE OF THESE ISSUES. WHEN ONE BUYS A 2017 SUBURBAN AND PAYING OVER $40K YOU DON'T EXPECT TO BE INVESTING MONEY TO BE FIXING SAFETY ISSUES.

26V289000 · Power Train:transfer Case (4-WHEEL Drive)

May 7, 2026

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2026 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, and Tahoe, and GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles with four-wheel (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), and certain 2015-2020 Suburban, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Yukon, Yukon XL, and Tahoe vehicles. A component missing from the drivetrain transfer case may cause the front and/or rear wheels to lock up without warning to the driver.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Front or rear wheel lockup increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the remedy is completed. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the transfer case assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 18, 2026. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. GM's number for this recall is N262557620. 19V761000 · Electronic Stability Control (esc); Service Brakes; Service Brakes, Hydraulic:antilock/traction Control/electronic Limited Slip:wheel Speed Sensor/tone Ring

Oct 24, 2019

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Yukon, and 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel drive. If a wheel-speed sensor fails, while the vehicle is traveling between 41 and 60 mph in four-wheel or automatic mode, the Electronic-Brake Control Module (EBCM) software may activate the driveline-protection system.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Unintended activation of the driveline-protection system will cause unintended braking on the wheel on the opposite side of the failed sensor, causing the vehicle to pull to one side unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the EBCM, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192261050.

17V033000 · Visibility:rearview Mirrors/devices:exterior

Jan 12, 2017

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Chevrolet Suburban HD vehicles. These vehicles were assembled with a convex right-hand outside mirror, instead of with a non-convex (flat) right-hand outside mirror. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If equipped with the incorrect right-side rear-view mirror, the driver may misjudge the distance of other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the convex mirror with a non-convex mirror and provide a new page for the owner's manual with the customer notification letter, free of charge. The recall began February 7, 2017. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 17017.

16V651000 · Air Bags:frontal; Air Bags:frontal:sensor/control MODULE-INACTIVE ; Seat Belts:pretensioner

Sep 8, 2016

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015-2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, 3500 HD, Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV vehicles and 2014-2017 Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado 1500, Trax, Caprice Police Pursuit Vehicle, GMC Sierra 1500, Buick Encore, and 2014-2016 Buick Lacrosse, Chevrolet Spark EV and SS vehicles. In the affected vehicles, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test. During this test, deployment of the frontal air bags and the seat belt pretensioners would not occur in the event of a crash.

Consequence & remedy
